Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
Developments in the south. Russian media reports RU military leaving positions along the Dnipro river to be sent to other parts of Ukraine, a statement which is then retracted and denied. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
Source: https://drukarnia.com.ua/articles/av...-11-2023-aGre2 Avdiyivka The situation as of 11/12/2023 According to our previous forecast, this week Russian forces established partial/temporary control over the eastern areas of Stepovoy. In this report, we analyze further developments and explain how we accurately predicted recent developments. Contrary to negative assessments of Russian tactics and high losses near Avdiivka, their overall approach was partially successful. They managed to break through the defensive positions north of Avdiivka, reaching the railway. This jeopardizes the logistics routes for the garrison in the city itself, creating several options for the Russians - they can either capture Stepove and try to take Berdychi, or take control of the AKHZ (Coke Plant). Any of these scenarios puts pressure on the main routes to Avdiivka. Steppe was heavily bombarded, many houses were destroyed, which indicated that the Russians would advance there, which they did later. It is difficult to defend piles of debris, so the capture of Stepovoy does not mean an effective springboard for a further offensive on Berdychi. We have doubts about the probability of a further advance of the Russians to Berdychi from the Stepovoy side due to logistical problems. Although there is an alternative route from the north, it also risks overloading their logistics, which could leave them vulnerable. Logistics is a major challenge for both sides. The Russians have trouble managing logistics via rail, as shown in the image below. Many roads will soon be impassable during the mud season, which will also limit supply routes for the defenders as well. Currently, the Russians do not have fire control over the road that connects Avdiivka with other forces. With all that said, we have received separate reports indicating their attempts to actively use FPV drones in an attempt to disrupt the supply route along the road. We expect the Russians to begin using tactical infantry groups of varying numbers in an attempt to gain control of the plant. Currently, Russian troops are facing problems in securing their forces on the terrain and railway near the plant. The situation so far looks stable, despite a certain advance of the enemy. In summary, the narrow Russian supply lines monitored by the Defense Forces limit their movement, especially outside of rail. With the start of the mud season, Ukrainian logistics operations will also face problems.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
I hear you. Never had G loc myself, a little grayness sliding in from the sides at times but pushed it out, head back, drop the shoulders & push the abs out while squeezing the butt cheeks & bring the legs together are probably the best methods to use under those circumstances. I haven't been in a "Viper" but I've given one a Hug, I haven't spewed up, in flight, but that's probably due to hours spent in CFET's, taken tablets once or twice but other than that, nothing to exciting. I've heard of ppl shitting themselves on top of spewing, so they did the whole thing, emptied right out Also, word is that they are going to retire the "Warthogs" soon even after they upgraded the A-10A to the A-10C so hate to see her go, excellent close air support system with the unmistakable "blurp blurp" auto cannon that it was primarily built around. Maybe should send some of them over to Ukraine to help lift the tank kill numbers. I still think that the "Tomcat" is the sexiest airframe that's ever been produced & I was disheartened when they de commissioned her in 2006 a true testament to the evolving jet era instead of all the tail draggers around. The "Tomcats" final cruise was in 2004, with VF-103 "Jolly Rogers" aboard USS Kennedy & they then started flying "Dogtooths" in Feb 05, a great & deserving squadron apart from the "Tophatters" to give the "Tomcat" her final combat cruise send off with a good ice bucket soak afterwards. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
After seeing what current-iteration MANPADS are capable of, I'd be worried for their immediate future if they were in theater. I think the -16's are vulnerable as well. Time will tell.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III
▶"AP (https://apnews.com/article/ukraine-r...72e3d81de7a176) on the training of Ukrainian soldiers by partner countries in the West. ℹ️ As the Russian invasion enters its second winter, Western countries' training programs for Ukrainian recruits are expanding. The Allies pay special attention to the training of Ukrainians even when the war between Israel and Hamas distracts the attention of the world community. ℹ️ France plans to train 7,000 Ukrainian soldiers this year - some in Poland, some at French bases. ℹ️ The initial goal of the EU mission was to train 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers, but now plans to reach 35,000 by the end of this year. All but three of the 27 EU member states, as well as Norway, which is not an EU member, have provided training courses or provided instructors. ℹ️ According to the Pentagon, the United States has trained about 18,000 military personnel , mostly in Germany, and another 1,000 are planned to be trained in the near future. ℹ️ In Britain, 30,000 recruits have undergone military training in the past 17 months, in what the British government says is an unprecedented program since the Second World War. ℹ️ In addition to basic weapons training, battlefield first aid and other skills, the instructors also impart specialized military know-how, ranging from demining and amphibious operations on small boats to equipment repair, officer training and even assistance to Ukrainian military chaplains. ℹ️ APNews reporters also visited the French training camp, which Politico wrote about yesterday. Here, the Ukrainians are looking for tactics and know-how that could help their troops break through Russian defenses. " In Ukraine, it is clear that the front line is relatively frozen, with two warring parties using very similar doctrines. Therefore, today one of the keys we are looking for to break this inertia is to try to develop maneuvering schemes that can disturb and even shake the opponent" ℹ️ That is, in general, a decent figure of 105,000 Ukrainian soldiers trained by the West is obtained." ▶"Ukraine will be (https://twitter.com/deaidua/status/1724368812533780511) the first user of Caracal car platforms from Rheinmetall The German concern will deliver 5 such cars to Ukraine from the end of 2023 to the beginning of 2024. The project is financed by the German government. Caracal is a 4x4 mobile platform specially designed for the needs of airmobile formations and special operations forces. ℹ️ In fact, Ukraine will be the first country in the world to receive the Caracal platform."
