Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

NO MEDIA:

"Zelensky's interview (https://apnews.com/article/zelenskyy...819d459e6ab64b) for the Associated Press

About the results of the counterattack.

Look, we are not retreating, I am satisfied. We are fighting the second (best) army in the world, I am satisfied...We are losing people, and I am not satisfied. We didn't get all the weapons we wanted, I can't be happy, but I can't complain too much either.

We wanted faster results. Unfortunately, we did not achieve the desired results. And this is a fact

There is not enough strength to achieve the desired results faster. But this does not mean that we should give up. We are confident in our actions. We fight for what is ours
According to Zelensky, there have been some positive moments over the past few months. Ukraine managed to achieve gradual territorial gains against a better armed and fortified enemy. In addition, the power of the Black Sea Fleet was reduced after the Ukrainian attacks.

About weapons.

And although a significant part of Ukraine's budget is allocated to the production and purchase of weapons, this is still not enough to turn the tide of the war. Zelensky is counting on Western allies, including the United States, to offer favorable loans and contracts to achieve this goal.

When he last met with US President Joe Biden, members of Congress and other high-ranking officials, he made one urgent appeal: give Ukraine cheap loans and licenses to manufacture American weapons.

Give us these opportunities and we will build. Whatever effort and time it takes, we will do it, and we will do it very quickly
Regarding the political crisis in the USA against the background of the presidential elections

The choice of the Americans is the choice of the Americans...By helping Ukraine, the Americans are helping themselves.

In the event that Ukraine's resilience collapses due to lack of aid and lack of weapons and funding, Russia will most likely invade NATO countries...And then American children will fight
About negotiations with Russia

The static line of hostilities did not cause pressure on the part of Ukraine's allies to conclude a peace agreement with Russia.

I don't feel it yet. Some voices are always heard.
About elections in Ukraine

Zelensky is ready to hold elections, but the majority of Ukrainians will be against it, as they consider such a vote "dangerous and senseless."

As for how long Zelensky can be the leader of a country at war, the answer is that it is a difficult job, but he cannot imagine leaving the post.

You honestly can't do that. It would be very unfair, wrong and definitely demotivating.

Piranha AVD 360 electronic warfare complex, designed for protection of armoured vehicles and personnel against Russian UAVs, currently under development in Ukraine

“The complex creates a protective dome up to 600 meters around itself. Under the influence of the system, the copter or kamikaze drone cannot receive commands and transmit data. As a result, the "bird" either hangs in the air, makes an emergency landing, or falls uncontrollably.

Piranha also suppresses satellite navigation systems, for example, the Russian GLONASS. Now the system has successfully passed field tests and is ready for serial production.” - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov.

It’s amazing how you can use “2nd army in the world” in your interest. When you want to make fun out of it ( when you army moves forward) or when you want to proof that you are fighting powerful enemy, second to none and your offensive failed. Cringe moment

I wouldn't read too much into him using the phrase 2nd army in the world. EVERYONE who is not pro-Russian does. Literally. It's one of our biggest go to circle jerk data/talking points.

Honest question... are you not surprised that an army as large, powerful and mighty as what we all imagined Russia's to be is still having to fight to reach their goals nearly two years later? I still am very surprised and that, in and of itself, is very encouraging. I never would imagined Ukraine would be able to put up such a fight and honestly, that is one of the biggest things that stands out to me about Ukraine.

The counteroffensive was hyped up so much before it even started and that gave the world the most unrealistic expectations and set many up for disappointment. But there was a reason why that happened. Morale of Ukraine and her partners AND to scare the living shit out of the Russians. The other thing that must be factored in is that many people were assuming that the counteroffensive would look much like that recapture of Kharkiv and Kherson last year, which were both pretty spectacular.

No, they haven't reached Tokmak nor the Sea of Azov or divided the Russians in half on the southern front. But they are still fighting and defending in all areas of the front. They've reclaimed thousands of square kilometers of land (I don't know exact figures, same claim nearly 50% of all occupied land since the start of the invasion but not sure how accurate that is) and have been a pain in Russia's ass with defense line breaches and logistical nightmares (bridges, roads, and two words - Black Sea).

Sure, it wasn't the huge, grand spectacle we all thought it would be but there have been some significant moments (breaching defense lines, Black Sea, leftbank bridgehead, Robotyne/Verbove, Novomaiorsk, etc. etc.) Considering they are outnumbered 4 to 1 in nearly all aspects and still standing is significant. There are still big things going on today, on both sides to be fair.

Assessments made by all of us are only based on information readily available to us. There is a lot more that we don't know. Russia continues to show they have no problem throwing massive amounts of troops into achieving their goals and their losses in personnel and equipment have been massive.

When I put Russia and Ukraine next to each other... it's very simple for me. One of them is invading someone else's land, one is defending. I think of the neighbors vegetable garden versus my vegetable garden analogy I used some time ago. I'm not going to allow my neighbor to encroach upon my garden, do with my veggies what he sees fit and profit from anything growing or living on my land. I've been on the land since I was born as have the generations before me. I'll die before I give it all up.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room III

Medvedev Threatens the West with the Use of Force.

Russia intends to use a strategy of "fair projection of force" against its opponents.

According to Ura.news, this was stated by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. He emphasized that this position will be applicable in all areas - from military to economic and informational.

"In relation to opponents, the strategy of 'fair projection of force' can be used in all spheres - military, economic, cultural, transport-logistical, information-technological, and others," Dmitry Medvedev stressed on the social network VKontakte.

He clarified that in relation to its allies, Russia will adhere to the principles of good neighborliness. To those who interfere in the internal affairs of the country, Russia is ready to apply an "asymmetric response."
Medvedev noted that since the beginning of the year, the ranks of the Russian army have been bolstered by 452,000 people.

These are those who joined the Russian Armed Forces voluntarily by signing a contract. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu noted that the Russian army is becoming stronger and more experienced every day.

# I like the part where he states that "those who joined the Russian Armed Forces voluntarily" as these russians are starting to realize that it's a guaranteed death sentence if they do join.
I hope they pack their pockets full of sunflower seeds !

Well said as I am also amazed at the courage, skill & determination of the Ukrainian ppl to rid this scourge from their lands as they have approached this invasion as a complete unit, all together, soldiers, farmers, students, young & old, women & the collective unison that they rely on to obtain their objective, all be it slow at times, has shocked the whole world & russia as they expected that it would be a "3 day walk over" operation & here we are 3 months shy of 2 years & pro ruskie or not, you have to admit that the collective might of the Ukrainian ppl are not to be fucked with & even without military support aid donated, I believe that they would fight to the last even if they had to use sticks & stones.

In war & life you do get the odd set back from time to time & yes, we are currently seeing a bit of that with the latest offensive, but what's important about that is, the tenacity & resourcefulness that Ukrainian ppl are showing moving forward is outstanding to say the least & they have shown over the 21 months, as we have witnessed, that they are proven warriors when it comes to adapting & overcoming objectives before them & russia with a far more superior force is experiencing set back, after set back, after set back, & quite frankly being decimated at will, as 21 months after this invasion they haven't taken & held shit, they are still just walking into hell like blind lams under their evil, genocidal masters whip & there country will suffer forever because of it, a cutting your nose off despite your face thing, truly astonishing to witness & this smo will be studied by academics for eons as what not to do.

What a leader to decimate your ppl & alienate your country for a land grab.

Truely Remarkable !
