"The family of Aleksandr Zakharov, Russian Lancet drone developer, owns property in the United Kingdom.

Alexandr Zakharov has been developing and manufacturing UAVs for more than 15 years. His most famous invention is the Lancet drone, which is actively used by Russia in the war against Ukraine.

According to Russian media"Vazhnye Istorii ", in 2022-2023, the structures of Russian Ministry of Defense bought RUB 5,3 billion worth of drones from Zakharov's company. The UK imposed sanctions on the company, but Zakharov's family was not sanctioned.

Since 2018, his wife and son, Svetlana and Lavrentiy Zakharov, own an apartment in an elite area of London. Its value is £1.5 million and it's is about 100 square meters.

Zakharov's son has been living in the UK since at least 2015. He graduated from school there and got his higher education. Since July 2021, Lavrentiy has worked for UN agencies in New York and Rome, and since May 2023 - for the UN Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) in Geneva."

◉"Putin has named his conditions for Russia to return into "the grain deal."

He said that Russian grain and fertilizers would have to be un-sanctioned, Russian banks reconnected to SWIFT and supplies of spare parts for agricultural machinery resumed.

Obviously, the Kremlin terrorist didn't forget to blame the West of blackmailing, while doing exactly that very thing."

◉"Russian AA/artillery unit received 6 Tunguska air defence vehicles from MoD, likely from long conservation followed by major repairs - as a result, all six vehicles are disfunctional.

In the full version of the video, the reporter states that upon reception, three vehicles were running but after a 30-km march all broke down with major suspension problems, another two suffer from armament control system malfunctions, and a sixth is too dangerous to even start.

None of the six transport-reloading vehicles (TZM) were functional either."

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II

NO MEDIA:

"Russian parliament is considering Russia's withdrawal from World Health Organization, Russian media report.

Russia's intention to withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO) has been announced in Russian parliament. According to deputy speaker Petr Tolstoy, the decision to do so is "in line" after breaking relations with the Council of Europe, Vedomosti reported.

"The WHO supported sanctions against our country, they closed the office [for the prevention of non-communicable diseases in Moscow] that was working. They are trying to impose perceptions and rules on Russia that do not correspond to our values. The totality of these factors makes us think that we have no business being in this organization," the deputy said. He stated that Russia's membership in the WHO "is no longer relevant".

At the same time, Russian ministry of health does not support the idea of withdrawal from the WHO."

_____

"Lukashenko intends to “tighten the screws” on state farms and collective farms, Russian media report. De facto it might mean reviving a type of serfdom in Belarus.

Speaking at a conference call on the harvesting campaign on Friday, July 21, Lukashenko demanded that agricultural workers be banned from resigning, from managers and specialists to milkmaids and machine operators.

“Today, not a single specialist, not a single head of an agricultural enterprise can be transferred to another job or quit without permission of the chairman of the district executive committee,” Lukashenko is quoted by his press service as saying. “He quit, and no one in the country can hire him until he submits a certificate from his previous job, a normal characteristic.”

Not a single chairman of the district executive committee and other officials also have the right to quit their jobs, Lukashenko continued: “The same thing - not a single machine operator, milkmaid, and so on in an agricultural enterprise can take a step left or right without the decision of the head.”

Thus, according to Lukashenko, a "closed vertical" will be built and "responsibility" will appear."

____

"All the missing Russian generals are home except Surovikin, Russian Telegram channels report.

Today, Surovikin's family reportedly received a letter from him by courier mail. Until the end of July, he under some kind of detainment, deprived of all forms of communication until special orders.

Another Russian general Mizintsev allegedly received an invitation to work in Belarus with the Wagnerites. He is now on his way home, and from there, within 24 hours, he will be in Minsk. At the beginning of the week, he may have a conversation with Lukashenko, after which he will either retire or join the PMC.

Russian Lieutenant General Alekseev will receive his verdict from the Shoigu next week, until then he is to stay at home, Russian Telegram channels write."

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II

So far this is all I've found that's related. I'll update this post with more if I find it.

"Poland's Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak has decided to move the military from the west to the east of the country, i.e. towards the border with Belarus, due to threats posed by the presence of Wagner mercenaries in the neighboring country.

According to him, the training of Belarusian special forces with the participation of Wagner mercenaries, announced on July 20, is a provocation."

And he seems to have forgotten what Stalin did to Poland previously."
Normally would put stuff like this in the sabotage thread but it's directly related to the above.

"Attention, Poland!

Russian propagandists think that Putin's discussions of history yesterday are a warning to Poland."

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II

Russian military blogger connected to RIA Novosti Rostislav Zhuravlev has died due to Ukrainian shelling, the Russian state agency reports. The RIA Novosti agency also reports that its photojournalist Konstantin Mikhalchevsky and Izvestiya correspondent Roman Polshakov were wounded.

Zaporozhye authorities say Zhuravlev supposedly was in civilian vehicle when he was hit.

The reporters were on a tightly-controlled trip to the war zone organised by the Russian defence ministry, said Roman Saponkov, another military journalist.

RIA confirmed in a report that its correspondent had been killed while reporting in the frontline village of Piatykhatky, and that one of its cameramen was also hurt.

The defence ministry said Ukraine had used cluster munitions in the incident, but did not provide evidence for this.

Russia said it would now respond in kind to the supposed use of US-supplied cluster munitions.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II

A little about the main hub in Europe of transferred equipment to Ukraine.

"Almost every hour, a plane under a partner flag arrives in Rzeszów with an extremely important cargo for the defense of Ukraine. In just 2 hours of our stay there, 3 planes packed with "nothings" for the Armed Forces arrived. They also met our guys who were going to study in partner countries, although sometimes everyone jokingly says that we ourselves are already teaching others.

Rzeszów is the city where the logistics hub is located, through which donor material and technical assistance to Ukraine passes, that is, weapons that are given to us for free. We visited it today with the Parliamentary TSK, which monitors the receipt of military property provided to us by partners.

Honestly - the impressions are incredible. This is a unique anthill, where someone is constantly packing, scanning, sending, delivering something. Each cargo is triple checked. The whole process from the moment of boarding the plane to the delivery of the cargo to Ukraine takes a minimum of time. The hub works around the clock, because everything needs to be sent to the front by yesterday.

Various experts from partner countries advise our military 24 hours a day on the intricacies of using and repairing the provided equipment. Sometimes partners joke that some of their weapons are not what we use anymore, but we repair them better than them.

Each of them knows about Ukraine and is interested in its history. The Ukrainian flag flying next to the flags of partner countries in almost every office has become a symbol of unity and harmony. These people live by our victory.

In the meantime, united by a common goal, we meet planes, repair, pack, send..."

Yes, Polish is a slavic language, however instead of the Cyrillic alphabet they use the Latin alphabet.

The Cyrillic language was created by Byzantine monk named Saint Cyril in 683 A.D. by order of the emperor, Michael III. His task was to translate the bible into one language for all Slavs in order to spread Christianity throughout Europe.

I'm not 100% sure if all Cyrillic languages are Slavic but I think they are. There are about 50 different variations of Slavic languages divided into East, West and South. Some are Cyrillic, some are Latin alphabets.

That is about the extent of my knowledge on the topic.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room II

The British MoD shared photos of the 2nd group of Ukrainian artillerymen training on the British 155mm AS90 self propelled gun. The first group was done with training in the beginning of this year and is already active on the frontlines/rearlines.

Pretty sure this is training.

"Ukrainian M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA with Bradley Urban Survival Kit (BUSK) dynamic protection and Bradley Reactive Armored Tiles (BRAT).

Additional protection is installed on the front and side parts of the hull and tower.

BRAT locates a wide range of threats: from missiles with a cumulative effect to projectile fragments. Such a kit adds an additional 3 tons of weight to the car."
