If this is true then the twitter video must be a deepfake video. Sorry it seemed legit even if the guy spoke a little bit like a “twitter analyst” it that makes sense? Anyway the group is probably real but the video could be fake

According to Russian sources after the attack they moved some bombers from Engels to Ukrainka airfield in eastern Russia. Yes there are no photos, but this is indicative that something did happen. Attacks like these in recent history did damage or destroy Rus aircraft so I'd say it's more logical to assume that some bombers were either damaged or destroyed. The moved bombers would be the ones that were not damaged in the attack. And apparently they're being flown back to Engels according to a Russian source.

As a result of a recent attack on the air base in the city of Engels, 5 TU-95MS were seriously damaged. 2 aircraft received minor damage. 17 soldiers were killed, 26 were injured, 3 of them in serious condition. The control tower was also destroyed, according to Ukrainian sources.

According to the latest data, two of the wounded died in the hospital. Result: 19 dead.

They went a little bit too far with the ones that died in the hospital, that was the red flag I guess. I understand it was added for some sense of credibility, but there would be no way of Ukraine knowing anybody dying in the hospital. At least not working that time frame anyway!

Faust given that past attacks on airbases did produce damaged/destroyed aircraft why would you doubt that some people died? You know people are at airbases.

I believe it is completely possible that 20 aircraft were destroyed and 95 people died even: it is not about the numbers. It is the detail that of the injured 2 already died in the hospital which made it suspect is all I am saying. Not shooting the messenger, just pointing that out. As for the Tu95, that motherf- is huge. To seriously damage 5 of them given the fact they are parked next to eachother at Engels, imagine the blast radius needed for that. 2+ soccer fields at least Also to take out the tower as well?

Perhaps the two dying at the hospital was reported somewhere by Russian channels so this source added it. I'm not sure. Perhaps, the post was posted originally without the 2 dying at the hospital and then updated later with that information. It did say it was edited but I don't know what detail was added.
