Discussion about the extent of destruction at the Russian Airbase at Engels, south of Saratov in Russia. This is the base's second attack since the first on 5 December 2022.

- Ukrainian drones launched a minimum of 624 km away

- At least two rockets reached their targets at the airbase, which were likely fired from drones

- 3 Russian military members killed and 4 wounded

- Present at the airfield one day before the attack were 3 Russian Tu-160 and 12 Tu-95MS bombers

- After the attack, there is information that at least 6 Tu-95MS bombers were moved out of the Engels airfield far to eastern Russia, to the "Ukrainka" airfield which is near north east China. If significant damage were present at the Engels airfield and existing bombers were damaged or destroyed, this sort of move would make sense as Russia has few airfields capable of supporting heavy strategic bombers of this class, capable of launching the sort of attacks that Ukraine has experienced regarding their ability to generate electricity and other public utilities.

How damaged were the planes if they were able to takeoff and go somewhere else?
No satellite images of destroyed planes would equal no damage to planes I’d say.
