Re: US Vehicles Ambushed by Cowards
Before Operation Sealion (German invasion of Britain in 1940, when we were totally fucked) Churchill gave the go ahead to create a guerrilla army to hinder and harass and terrorise the invaders in horrific ways. They're not cowards, just fighting in whatever capacity they can against a much stronger force. During The Troubles in Northern Ireland, a sustained sniper campaign killed many British soldiers. The media labelled them cowards too, but the British Army are on record saying they were daring attacks carried out in the only way they could: hiding and fighting on their terms. Caches of weapons from Churchill's Ungentlemanly Army still turn up occaisionally as they were absolutely Top Secret, most of the army regulars didn't approve of guerrilla tactics either, but needs must, war's fucking horrible. |
