This is a Marine Corp Simulation of a casualty IED. event. The Marine with the missing legs is a veteran who lost his legs in an IED while serving in Iraq. Wounded warriors often volunteer or even get jobs in the DOD to help with submersive training to allow the reality of what war fighters will see and must be prepared for. It is not a real event.
