Re: Are Tanks, Helicopters, Planes, ships Worthless Now?
Its not sci-fi. Laser AA systems have already been tested successfully years ago. There are some that can shoot down artillery shells in mid-air. |

Yeah, I know, but is still sci-fi, since that is not so popular used, that's what I saying If I not remember wrong, those lasers are from '80s or '90, so it is not so a fresh technology and still we are almost on the same beginning point. Same as space rockets fuels ant tech. Anyway, in the near future there definitely will be some changes maybe also lasers become mass used. Who knows. We will ser |

Re: Are Tanks, Helicopters, Planes, ships Worthless Now?
"The Chinese ran simulations" hahaha. That's funny. You really are poorly informed regarding the capabilities of the US military. I get that it's embarrassing for Russians after the last year or so in Ukraine, but it would be foolish to ascribe the same idea of conflating military prowess to the US. We could win simultaneous wars with Russia and China is separate theaters... and still be the most powerful nation on Earth afterwards. Russia can't even beat the small amount of mostly outdated equipment the west has sent to Ukraine lol. We literally beat Russia's current military capabilities in Iraq 20 years ago... in under a week. And WE'VE progressed a long way since then. China's missile capabilities are certainly decent... at least prob more honest than certain other countries... but they still don't have a chance against US carrier groups. Yeah, a full on exchange would lead to some US casualties, some ships hit... but that's about it. China likely couldn't sink a single carrier without using a nuclear weapon. No country could. But... at least China's nukes prob work.

Sci-fi means fiction man. These are actively being used on US Navy warships as we speak. That's literally not sci-fi lol. They will continue to improve, but they are capable and effective now.

Re: Are Tanks, Helicopters, Planes, ships Worthless Now?
Wow... you are horribly misinformed man. By all means, cite any of this information. Maybe you're from one of those nations which augments it's information to their populace, but our losses were openly reported and supported by all coalition nations. And... some of us have first hand insight. Tanks alone, Iraqis lost 100 to 1 compared to the coalition tanks. (About 3000 to about 30). This isn't Russia where we try and say we haven't lost barely any soldiers, and his have over 100k people not contacting their families anymore, nor is it China where they claim to never have any testing errors when developing next generation weapon systems. Other than top secret and black budget programs, things are relatively transparent here. We know this because we do report our errors, crashes, failures etc. And... that's also why we have a military than can IN REALITY, easily defeat any others on Earth... even in multiple theaters simultaneously while far from our own shores. I don't think it's smart to compare us to the joke that has been Russia in Ukraine. Lol.

Btw, russia have a lot of nukes, but seeing how they are going in Ukraine, I can confirm that those nukes will explode over them once launched |

Sure brother. Here's two. One from 2020 and one from 2022, both discussing the installation and successful testing of these devices in Portland class US Navy ships. https://www.nationaldefensemagazine....st%20in%202020. https://www.pacom.mil/Media/News/New...Dstate%20laser. |

Re: Are Tanks, Helicopters, Planes, ships Worthless Now?
Well, you are correct that very few are “aware” of that version of history. I would LOVE for you to share links of where you got that insane take. Are you “aware” that the Iraqi army signed a public capitulation document there at Safwan? Have you seen the photographs of US armored vehicles escorting the Iraqi signatories onto the airfield, from miles away, that day? Because, if you were, you’d realize how ridiculous your theory was, given that US vehicles had to escort the Iraqi contingent onto an airfield on which they were “surrounded” by “elite Iraqi units”. Seriously, please do post up whatever site you got that garbage from. I’m dying to read it. I have exactly zero doubt that any website claiming that the US lost the Gulf War to the Iraqis is also going to be loaded with viruses, but my anti-virus is up to date, and I’m willing to take the risk for the sure entertainment value of that read. |
