I appreciate that he minimized suffering for the first guy even though it had a high probability of hurting future shots. He disnt have to put the last 2 in, and I'm not attributing motive, but maybe he's not a sadistic shithead like some others. |

I wonder who sold them these optics  Its of course a huge advantage to be able to see in the dark.. which explains the reaction of the afghan soliders |

Its all about killing fast and efficiently, without being spotted and to make sure they are dead. I bet you right there and then that he dosen't care whether they suffers or not, his mission is to kill as many as he can. The sound and muzzle flame can give him away, so he tries to do it right way.. which he indeed did. He got the video back too didn't he?  This talib went on a suicide mission and got back from it alive! |

Great video I posted a vid a while back of Taliban using the same type of thermal optics... makes me wonder where they are obtaining such equipment.

They were caught completely unprepared for a sniper attack. They learned nothing from all the training the US military gave them. Everyone is completely unaware of the attack underway and so they are standing around until they get hit. This is not a professional force in the slightest.
