I am a die hard AKM platform fan, but the old tale that they can be thrown in the mud and be fine is actually not true. With the safety off/dust cover the gun has large openings for filth to get in and it jams the trigger mechanism and causes the bolt to not go into battery. They are very tough guns, but even the AK cant handle debris in the receiver. By the way your avatar makes me  |
