Syria - Parachute Bombing
Parachute vacuum bombs dropped on the Hama town of Latamna (May 2017). Most of the dialogue of the camera man is describing the events taking place. At times he's heard calling out the strikes being made by the army and Russians. |

A lot of them seem to land on open ground. One looked like it went into a ditch, another landed on what looks like a soccer field. I assume they are NOT very accurate.

These are said to be dropped in their own fashion due to maximize the effects of the explosives by detonating on impact the second it touches the ground, unlike free-fall bombs, which may penetrate the ground further resulting in the blast being pushed up and away rather than out to the sides. The Germans used them to great effect in WW2, especially during the Blitz where a single bomb could level an entire block.
