It's what's commonly referred to in the industry as a "lateral facial" and/or a "diametric necklace" (as opposed to a pearl necklace). Whereby you choose (whether it be because they're maybe a bit ripe and on the nose, or perhaps it's a cool arty effect you're going for) to not come in them on them or over them... but rather you prefer to just come across them.
