Thanks for that :) I'm saying that it doesn't matter whether its the IRA or Al-Quaida, they are terrorists and should be treated as the lowly civilian murdering bastards that they are. You can effect change by war, or words, but when you go underground and continually kill your own people, the only change you affect is the aggression and hatred toward you and your cause. Does the world at large really know WHY Al-Quaida or the IRA is doing what they are doing? FUCK NO...and they don't care. If these groups were legit they would form a REAL army and have REAL politicians trying to make a difference and people would know why, and might even understand and sympathize. Instead the world sees is a bunch of cockroaches that refuse to be diplomats and refuse to fight as soldiers with honor, and have no real principles or plans for the future other than dying. Even the fucking PLO understands that operating as a terrorist organization has done nothing but generate hate for their cause, and they are trying to become a real and recognized army and governing body. If you think I'm wrong, ask ANYONE outside of Ireland and England wtf the IRA is and they will say, FIRST thing out of their mouth, "Terrorists." Ask them why they are doing what they are doing, and the answer will be, "Who the fuck knows...but they need to be wiped out..." When you become the terrorist there is nothing you can do that will EVER make ANYONE sympathize with you. Period. You have to overcome that and be a human being with honor for anyone to ever take you seriously... |

I only know because I did my research, but before then I, like most people knew NOTHING about the IRA other than they were a terrorist organization. Even after reading I see the real IRA was only taken serious during the War of Independance, and the Civil War, when they were NOT a terrorist organization and actually had diplomats and tried to change the country in more ways than just war and killing. Anything after the 1969 Split is just lost in terror. As an experiment I called a few friends tonight and asked them, "What is the IRA?", and every single one of them said one single word: "Terrorists" |

I'll partially retract some of what I say, seeing how at least the IRA has been trying in recent years to affect diplomatic change instead of sheer terror. Cheers for that! I sincerely hope for the best for the country and people of Ireland, and hope they can finally get what they struggled for all these years, without the violence. :) |
