SAS are actually the only ones who would form mixed units with Marines. You really think a group of British regulars are going to walk up to a group of Marines and ask to go on patrol with them?

Thats why it needs to be countered with bicarb as soon as possible, since it will neutralize the acid and create a solid phase buffer which can be removed.
