Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VIII
The fallout is a bit exaggerated in general. Just think about all the nukes that we have already detonated in the past. I think its more than 2000 nukes...and we are still alive and more or less well. 2000 nukes is enough for a decent world ending nuclear war, if those nukes were to target major cities. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VIII
Reportedly UA forces destroyed one russian TOR-M2DT which is arctic version of TOR system. Probably only 12 were made. UA also claimed two russian S-300 and one S-400 destroyed in recent days but without much of visual evidence

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VIII
The thing that kills me (pun) is the amount of attention still paid to camouflage paint. If it is in theater and it is moving or has a radar signature of any sort, it will be legitimized as a target with minimal fuss. These arctic TOR's were just asking for it just by being there.

Use of arctic variants may be a sign that they're running low on serviceable assets. Or maybe that's what they want Kyiv to think..or maybe that's what they want Kyiv to think it's what they want them to think.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VIII
Nothing to do with the fact the winters In Ukraine are bitterly cold and snowy then? I know we are in June but from Dec till march it would have snowed making the camouflage actually affective. They got lazy and got spotted once it warmed up. |
