Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VII

He’s already said he doesn’t want Poland and all the other places. This shits gotten long now
And since when does a dictators word mean anything?
Have you already forgotten how this war started?
Putin said that the army next to the Ukrainian border was a peaceful army, doing military exercises. He said that he will not attack Ukraine and its all "western hysteria". He promised to get rid of mandatory military service in russia and said that there will not be any mobilizations. After saying that, he mobilized hundreds of thousands of meat bags for his war machine. They promised to protect and aid Ukraine in case of a conflict( Budapest memorandum ) and they themselves became the main threat to Ukraine.
Almost everything Putin says turns out the opposite. Attacking Poland, Baltics and the rest of Europe is completely within his delusional plans. He is already preparing the whole population for an all out mobilization and total war. Propaganda has been cranked up to max-levels and all forms of dissent are being punished hars. Some state propagandist even suggest re-building the old gulags and concentration camps. Also, you said that Russia usually minds his own business, unlike the USA. Nope. You don't get to become the largest country in the world by minding your own business. The difference between USA and Russia is that USA does its war business far from home, whilst Russia attacks its neighbors and its own people. Russia has always been at war or it has been subjugating its neighbors.
Giving in to Putin will almost ensure a third world war later down the line...just like appeasing Hitler ensured the second world war. If Putin can get away with capturing Ukraine, then the führer will know, for sure, that he can also get away with capturing Poland or the Baltics. At the moment, the numbers dying in this war are still small. 200-300 000 is nothing compared to how much the ruski reich is willing to lose in the name of their führer. The population would probably still be content if they lost a 1000 000 men a year. Sunken cost fallacy would kick in even harder and the führer would double down.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VII

Both sides have many reasons not to release accurate statistics. Ukraine usually inflated its numbers while Russia decreases theirs.
