Who gives a fuck what OPINION he has as OPINIONS are just that, OPINIONS ! Whataboutism, Maybeism, Opinionism, everyone has a view, questions & statements can be argued for & against, but when you have undeniable FACTS that's when ppl really listen. Present a case & back it up with FACTS & not ? as to speculate about possible scenarios is an endless debate about things that have no relevance to facts & evidence presented & one can find themselves losing sight of the main topic by all the ism's presented & solve nothing, so remember that an OPINION is just that, regardless if it came from a layman or college professor. In closing it also helps if you have something called credibility to present the facts in the first place, something that you don't possess Duntez & my OPINION is that you won't change anytime soon so it's a from me, go spin your pro ruskie ism's else ware.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
My logic is “simple”? First of all: Go fuck yourself. “Simple”? You think you’re the unique intellectual, and those who disagree with you are “simple”? Get bent. Second: I watched your video, from start to finish, and you want to talk about “simple”? Mearsheimer’s entire premise was “east good, west bad”. He showed his hand early on when he talked about how he is popular in China and that, when he goes there, he’s “among his people” and that he’s intellectually aligned with them rather than the US. He’s intellectually aligned with the (big ‘C’) Communist totalitarians conducting ethnic cleaning within their own borders and bent on world domination. You want to see “simple”? I’ll show you my own personal flavor of simple: Fuck anyone, each and every one of ANYONE, who supports totalitarians. I’m just simple that way. But, then, back to Mearshimer; the rest of his treatise was a long list of all the things the west did to “force” Russia to have to attempt to destroy Ukraine, and how poor, innocent Russia was just defending itself. Just like how you and Faust both like to cite western “meddling” in Ukraine while willfully ignoring Russia’s meddling and downright violence in Ukraine leading up to the current conflict. Mearshimer relied on several logical fallacies to make his “point”, and did so shamelessly. I’m not going to list them all out, any one of which, once acknowledged, topples his entire premise, but here are a couple of the standouts. #1- His invocation of The Monroe Doctrine (which you since tried to drop into the conversation, making yourself look similarly stupid). There is absolutely NO analog between the MD and Russia’s adventurism in states it claimed as its own when it called itself the Soviet Union. The western hemisphere is essentially North and South America, and the very western edge of Europe (Spain, Portugal, a sliver of France, and a few western African countries). The prime meridian is entirely arbitrary, but the MD specifically marks the Americas- neither of which are even distant neighbors to the traditional (again, big ‘C’) Communist strongholds of Russia and China. If Russia or China were to make geopolitical inroads to the America’s (which they notably did in the 1930s-1960s with their attempted expansion of Communism), that would be a brazen affront to the American democratic republic. Russia and China have no business fucking around in the Americas. Ukraine, while technically in the eastern hemisphere, is just as logically a part of Europe as it is tied to Russia- and that’s what this is all about, isn’t it? Europe committed the sin of encouraging Ukraine to align with Europe, if it so chose, while Russia is attempting to force Ukraine to align with Russia under threat of conquest. People are, of course, free to bring the Monroe Doctrine into a discussion about the fate of Ukraine but, if they do so, they only make themselves look stupid and like they have not even a basic understanding of geopolitics, world history… or LOGIC. #2- Mearshimer tried calling out NATO for being hypocritical when NATO encouraged former USSR slave states to join while, according to Mearshimer, NATO had “no evidence” of Russia being a threat that necessitated the expansion of NATO, and that NATO only decided that Putin was a threat in February of 2014. Zero evidence of a threat of expansionism from Putin?!?! Ask a Georgian. Ask a Chechen. ASK A FUCKING UKRAINIAN!!! Putin has been systematically trying to reclaim states that the USSR lost when it went bankrupt… since only moments after he took the Russian throne. …and a throne is exactly what it is. For more than a thousand years, and without interruption, Russia has been an imperial kingdom. Nikolas begat Lenin, Lenin begat Stalin, Stalin begat the era of the “Weak Kings” who, in turn, begat Putin. I desperately want to respect the Russian people but, as an unapologetic American Patriot, I find it difficult to respect a people who refuse to throw off their own bondage to a king. But I digress… There is a marked difference in the logic of the pro-west/Ukrainian side and your side, the pro-USSR/“Russia”side, in this debate. My side can willfully acknowledge our own sins and missteps, but your side depends on completely ignoring anything that your beloved kingdom does wrong- to the point of it making you look like mindless NPCs. To illustrate: at one point Mearshimer had to resort to claiming that the US “picked a fight with ISIS”. Did YOU even watch your stupid video?? |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
A core tenet of Mearsheimer's belief is "offensive realism" in that "great powers" are justified in trying to control other countries within their immediate sphere of influence to guarantee their own security. In Mearsheimer's mind Russia is as justified in trying to dominate Ukraine as China is in trying to dominate Taiwan if they see them as a threat.

Playing all tough while proving that your logic is simple as fuck. America can accept their sins my ass. Maybe regular people do, but not politicians that we are talking about. Just proves how simple you are to not understand this. Like wise - get bent. |
