Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V

As parliamentary elections are coming this month, there is a number of ppl in Slovakia that would like to stop supporting Ukraine, they want Russia to destroy whole Ukraine, they even wouldn't mind if Russian army would come to our country and they would welcome them. Crazy idiots.

Older generations, some of them, love to tell how everything was much better when communists took over our land, our parliament, and so citizens were happier. Yep, some of them were, those who were not punished, jailed, forbidden to go to university, those who's land wasn't taken by communists. Some younger generations say that too, even though they have no idea how the life was back then, I don't know that due to my age. Pink glasses, as we say, or fogged brains, dunno.

What is the worst, we have 1-2 political parties that celebrate Russians, blame USA & the West for the war, blame Soros & Gates for basically everything & with incoming elections there are real concerns these parties would win the elections.

For majority of us, that's unthinkable. Someone, or some group, made this website, both in english & slovak, about myths & facts about communism in Czechoslovakia.

I am putting the URL in here, if anyone would be interested in what myths these scumbag pru-russian parties and other brainwashed ppl use as arguments to why the times were much better when communists ruled to Czechoslovakia and so we should join Russia and leave the rotten west

This is a list of the most repeated arguments those idiots use

https://tearingdownmyths.com/myths-vs-facts-database/

Edit: I am not much into these things, but as far as I understand, back then during the dark age we had socialism here, not communism. No idea if there is any difference & am too lazy to google it

Unfortunately, this is what the Russians are planning and hoping for. Russia already knows that they can't count on winning on the battlefield and they are using everything at their disposal; their troll farms, paid shills and fake demonstrators to try to influence the elections in a number of countries including the USA to get their people in positions of power to end support for Ukraine.

66k? I did read 500k, then 400k, then 100k, yesterday it was around 50k

Someone literally wrote that during this counteroffensive Ukraine lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers

Logical thinking of some persons seems to be gone

Russians are going to mobilize another 200k civilians so pro-russian trolls keep spamming that UA wants EU countries to hand them over every male that left UA, to treat them like deserters even though it was debunked
The intensity of Russian disinformation campaigns is truly remarkable.

They've been doing it for so long it's a science by now, you can predict what sorts of things they will say/lie about if X happens.

"If X happens, then unleash Y downplaying any significance of X, make a fake and release it everywhere. Have RT and TASS hammer it home for a week, have Solovyov rant about it for a few days and manufacture interviews with paid actors. Find some old footage and attribute it to something else in support that X is not important and Russia will win anyways. Our idiotic sycophants in Europe and America will eat it up, send it.

The acronym BOBR is similar to the Russian (and Ukrainian) name for beaver-bober (Бобер)

Bit more how they operate in Slovakia.

The vote in Slovakia this month will be a test of European unity on Ukraine, and of Russia’s efforts to undermine it. The front-runner wants to halt arms shipments to Kyiv.

When Ukraine discovered civilian mass graves in an area recaptured from Russian troops, Russia’s ambassador in neighboring Slovakia countered with his own discovery.

The mayor of a remote Slovak village, as the ambassador announced last September, had bulldozed Russian graves from World War I. Ambassador Igor Bratchikov demanded that the Slovak government, a robust supporter of Ukraine, take action to punish the “blasphemous act.”

The Slovak police responded swiftly, dismissing the ambassador’s claims as a “hoax,” but his fabrication took flight, amplified by vociferous pro-Russian groups in Slovakia and news outlets notorious for recycling Russian propaganda.

A month later, the mayor of the village, Vladislav Cuper, lost an election to a rival candidate from a populist party opposed to helping Ukraine.

Today, the same forces that helped unseat Mr. Cuper have mobilized for a general election in Slovakia on Sept. 30 with much bigger stakes.

The vote will not only decide who governs a small Central European nation with fewer than six million people, but will also indicate whether opposition to helping Ukraine, a position now mostly confined to the political fringes across Europe, could take hold in the mainstream.

The front-runner, according to opinion polls, is a party headed by Robert Fico, a pugnacious former prime minister who has vowed to halt Slovak arms deliveries to Ukraine, denounced sanctions against Russia and railed against NATO, despite his country’s membership in the alliance.

A strong showing in the election by Mr. Fico and far-right parties hostile to the government in Kyiv would likely turn one of Ukraine’s most stalwart backers — Slovakia was the first country to send it air-defense missiles and fighter jets — into a neutral bystander more sympathetic to Moscow.

It would also end the isolation of Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary as the only leader in the European Union and NATO speaking out strongly against helping Ukraine.

“Russia is rejoicing,” Rastislav Kacer, a former foreign minister and outspoken supporter of Ukraine, said in Bratislava, the Slovak capital. “Slovakia is a great success story for its propaganda. It has worked hard and very successfully to exploit my country as a wedge to divide Europe.”
disinformation to stir shit up and the extreme right wingers and a part of the normal right wingers are too stupid to investigate and read more about it and a lot don't even care as long it can damage the left wing so they can win elections. That's why they always follow the same persons on social media and only watch right wing channels.

I once read that 16 fake twitter accounts spewing hoax news can reach 1,3 million people. Also Agent Provocateurs can do even more damage just spewing one liners and b.s fake news.

Good doc about that is a Netflix documentary, Get Me Roger Stone. The doc reveals the 'Dirty Tricks' of one of Trump's Ccosest political advisers.

About the hoax cemetary news and the truth.
UNTIL WHEN WILL THE RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR STOP slovakia , CREATE HOAXES AND ENDANGER CITIZENS OF SLOVAK REPUBLIC?

⚠️ Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Slovakia Igor Bratčikov lies about the situation at the cemetery of soldiers of the Russian Imperial Army in Ladomirová village in Prešov Region

⚠️ thanks to absolute lies, Ladomirová exposed the mayor of the village to threats of murdering him

⚠️ Russian media is obediently taking over Bratčik's lies

⚠️ a representative of a foreign state power, who designated the Slovak Republic as its enemy, undertakes active trips and meetings throughout Slovakia, during which he lies and spreads Russian propaganda

The official account of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Slovakia on Facebook published yesterday a status about the visit of Ambassador Bratčikov to Ladomirová. According to the status of the graves of Russian soldiers, this year, eight years after the opening of the cemetery, they were “almost destroyed”.

The status explicitly states: "Two months ago, at the order of the mayor of #Ladomirov á, they were compared to the ground with an excavator. ”
Following the status there is a direct reaction of the Embassy: "#The Embassy strongly condemns this heinous act, which is a crime in most civilized countries, and calls on the Slovak side to strictly comply with the provisions of the 1995 Intergovernmental Agreement on the Graves of Fallen Soldiers and Civilian Victims of War.

The note in this regard was sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.”

MAYOR VLADISLAV CUPER REACTS TO LIES
We called the mayor first thing this morning to find out what had happened. This is the official position of the village:
Since there has been false information regarding the military cemetery of 1 in recent days. s. Wars in Ladomirová village, from the Embassy of the RF, we give a follow-up position.
The RF Embassy on its website www.slovakia.mid.ru published information on 14.09.2022

“About the situation at the cemetery of Russian warriors in Ladomirova”, stating that “graves of deceased heroes have been almost destroyed. Two months ago, at the order of the mayor of Ladomirová, they were leveled to the ground by an excavator".

This is a lot of false information. Graves continued to remain in place. We point out that near the graves there were concrete curbs that were falling apart and their maintenance was not possible.

Village Ladomirová, as the administrator of the mentioned cemetery, does everything to make this cemetery really look like a beautiful memorial place for deceased soldiers of the Russian Federation and visitors who visit this cemetery.

On the contrary, we are still trying for its maintenance and restoration, while it is very in tact from the Russian ambassador to unleash the media division among citizens.

We knew that the ambassador would visit Ladomirová Village and we waited that he would hear from us and discuss the mentioned issue together, because we have several proposals for the reconstruction and modification of the mentioned pavement, including that we wanted to ask him to provide part of the funds for its realization.

I am very sorry for the way this issue has been mediaized and because it spreads hate among people. While I noted various threats to my person, which I will be dealing with.

The village Ladomirová, as the administrator of the mentioned cemetery, will contact and request the statement of the RF Embassy on the mentioned issue, because to date the Embassy has not contacted us nor received an opinion from them.
As a proof that the mentioned drinking point is not destroyed, we attach a current photo.

A good example of this is DR user JBone. If it "hurts liberals" then he's a fan of it, no thinking required. And he openly admits he has little knowledge and will not research stuff, lol.

A prominent American pro-Russian shill is Tucker Carlson. He hammers it home so hard, it makes one think he's regularly cashing Kremlin checks... he has a very punchable face.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V

10-year-old Mykyta was abducted by Russians from the Oleshky boarding school in October last year. He and other children from the institution, including children with disabilities, were forcibly taken to Russia under the pretext of “evacuation.”

For a long time, the boy stayed in Crimea, and then these children were moved several times across Russia so that their relatives lost track of them and could not find them. Polina did not know about her grandson's whereabouts either.

Is Mykyta alive? Is he doing well? What boarding school is he in? Mykyta's grandmother went to all the boarding schools in the Krasnodar Region to gather information about him. In despair, she found Save Ukraine's details and contacted our team. We then started working together to find him.

We discovered the boy's whereabouts thanks to our volunteers' careful and persistent work. And then, the grandmother asked us to help her get her grandson out of there. Polina couldn't manage on her own because the Russians opposed her at every opportunity and refused to hand over her grandson. The woman had to go through several interrogations. Despite all the necessary documents confirming their family ties and Polina's custody of Mykyta, she was forced to undergo a DNA test. We had to wait a long time for the results.

However, even after that, no one gave Polina the boy. After all, the director of the Oleshky boarding school, collaborator Valentyn Suk, obtained Russian citizenship for the boy illegally. He had no right to do so, as Mykyta had a legal representative in Ukraine — his grandmother. Therefore, she was forced to take a Russian passport and custody of the boy.

This story of Mykyta's return lasted three long months. Our team helped Polina do everything the Russians wanted her to do to regain her grandson. Polina took Mykyta personally from the hands of Maria Lvova-Belova, the Ombudsman for Children's Rights in the Russian Federation, for whose arrest the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant in March of this year.

On camera, Lvova-Belova, smiling cynically, said that she always promotes family reunification, but behind the scenes, she offered Polina a financial reward to stay with the boy in Russia. But the woman categorically refused.

Fortunately, Polina and her grandson managed to leave the territory of the Russian Federation. Now they are safe. We helped her find a proper place to live. They have a long period of rehabilitation ahead of them. They need to restore all the lost documents, and Mykyta needs to undergo a preventive examination and start treatment. After all, no one cared for him during the year he was in Russia.

You can also help with Mykyta's treatment, as his grandmother cannot work and needs to be involved in her grandson's rehabilitation.
