Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V

The quarter of a million UKR military casualties at this point are the collateral damage?

Civilian to military kill ratio is actually a testament to the precision of the special military operation. If you were to compare this ratio to actual wars from 2000 and onwards then you might understand.

War and terrorism are the only modern cases in which the civilian death toll is higher than military deaths. The special military operation in comparison is not war, nor terrorism.
Where exactly did you get the number 250 000 deaths for Ukraine. I assume you mean deaths because comparing the number of wounded to the number of dead doesn't make sense.
According to quite pessimistic US estimates, Ukraine has lost around 15-20 000 soldiers, and 100 000+ wounded.
The civilian death toll is estimated at around 9 000.

This kill-death ratio is pretty gnarly. Considering that most civilians evacuated from the frontlines and Russia still managed to cause so many civilian deaths shows that they don't really care. Almost every drone/missile attack on Ukrainian cities also causes civilian casualties.

Its funny/sad how you still try to sell this war as a "special military operation". It's a total, all-out war. With frontlines and mass casualties. Both sides throw everything they have to the war at maximum pace.
If you compare the casualties with previous wars(excluding world wars ), then Putin's war is just as deadly...or even deadlier. You also need to consider that this is the first year.

Take Vietnam war casualty statistics for example:

The ARVN suffered 250,000 recorded combat deaths between 1960 and 1974, with the highest number of recorded deaths being in 1972, with 40,000 combat deaths.
Vietnam war had years with low casualties and years with high casualties. It just lasted for so long.
Other wars have similar stats if you divide the estimated casualties by the duration of the war.
Cambodian civil war - 275 000 casualties divided over 8 years = 35 000 deaths a year.
It's not that far off from Putins war.

The only thing "special" about putins military operation are the people who believe in it.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V

Kadyrov's personnel policy in Chechnya seems to be clan-building and promoting people from his own inner circle.

Kadyrov's son-in-law Viskhan Matsuev (who is the husband of his eldest daughter Aishat Kadyrova) became the new Vice Prime Minister of Chechnya and Minister of Agriculture of the region. (The latter holds the post of Minister of Culture in Chechnya).

Matsuev replaced Mr. Kadyrov's nephew, Ibragim (Yakub) Zakriev, who had earlier been officially appointed as Head of Danone Russia following the company's de facto nationalization.

Well said. It makes it difficult to take anything Faust says seriously (or anyone, for that matter) when they still call this war a special military operation. It's like trying to reason with a drug addict about getting clean when they deny they even have an addiction.

I just wanted to let you know that if you see posts in here from Faust it's because they were moved in here from somewhere else they didn't belong. But he is banned in this thread along with ljubodrag, lookdavook and vilebreed... so he won't see your replies.

Should really start a Russian's Most Wanted thread just like the Iraq Saddam Hussein deck of cards that the USAF had, for history's sake.

During the 2003 invasion of Iraq by a United States–led coalition, the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency developed a set of playing cards to help troops identify the most-wanted members of President Saddam Hussein's government, mostly high-ranking members of the Iraqi Regional Branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party or members of the Revolutionary Command Council; among them were some of Hussein's family members. The cards were officially named the "personality identification playing cards". As of 2021, all but four of the 52 most wanted have died or been either killed or captured, eleven of whom have been released.

Totally Agree ! Scorpion does hit the nail on the head & Faust has nothing reasonable to say so why move them at all.

Fuck Him & his fucked up mentality as it's getting beyond a joke, forever posting absolute lies & fake shit that he sware's by.

I think that it could be that ADHD, Attention seeking shit, no matter what the cost as he's very hypocritical & forever changing his story.

Loose cannon, shooting blanks.

Someone is making a killing on these faux floral arrangements.
All for the cameras / show

Seeing how the Russian Government are carelessly throwing bodies forward in the war, it will more than likely be a car park in 5 years' time.

If we don't move stuff that doesn't belong in a particular thread it will be cluttered thereby derailing it. For example, people who browse the main media threads want to see war footage, not a bunch of posts of people arguing or holding endless debates in between footage. lol

I think we've all said it at least once... we should just stop responding to anything he says all together. There's no point.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V

Having been placed on a Ukrainian airline without prior notice, an infamous documentingreality.com member protested the forced Ukrainian civilian mobilisation and earlier usage of human shields last year, by not hiding his trusty RT.com drinking bottle and instead use it during the flight. ( don’t worry he thanked the Ukrainian crew upon arriving at the destination and wished them to have peace soon, and stay safe. This showed one can be pro-civilian and still anti-NATO.) The protest btw worked because on the flight some nearby passengers were discussing the SMO after the flight crew identified themselves as Ukrainian, and they agreed that it was horrible how the country was getting f***** with the prolongation of the conflict and how the one-sided media coverage is creating false hope and this as a result more suffering. The protester showed the ones sitting next to him how to enable iCloud private relay (they were Apple users) so that they can also check RT.com and thus get some other perspective. It was pretty cool to engage with open minded people on the flight. The flight was excellent btw and he would recommend it to everyone. The 737-800 was a bit old, but the flight and landing were really smooth and exemplary for any airline. So the protester would definitely have you guys check out “Skyup” because you support the UKR people by flying with them, sort of.
