Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
it is kellyhound himself that admitted to it, he even added something like “only smart people support the sanctions” as the reason why even in a country that does have sanctions, like the US; a large percentage of the US population (+30%) does not support the sanctions

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
Funny that 1 of our states is a country elsewhere ... Quick factoid I remeber since Ukraine and Texas are mentioned and about the same size... Texas has enough space for every human on earth to have a 1 acre plot of land and even have some left over.. The late great Jim Marrs came up with that figure when arguing against over population .. But damn 1 of our states is bigger than I full on, non 3rd world country.. I'm feeling patriotic now. No wonder the Ů.Ş is the cock of the walk, sorry I'm high ![]() |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
"When comparing the number of countries that voted at the UN against Russia’s war (141) versus those that imposed sanctions, the first question invariably is why have so few countries imposed sanctions? There is the question of political will, but a more important factor is that most countries globally do not have autonomous sanctions programs. They rely instead on the United Nations or European Union to adopt sanctions which they then implement." Source: https://www.castellum.ai/insights/wh...ion-on-ukraine |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
Love critical thinking, much appreciated The article is generally accurate, but there are a few minor errors. For example, the article states that Monaco has sanctioned russia, but this is not true. Monaco has not imposed any sanctions on russia. The article also states that 29 countries are arming Ukraine, but this number is now outdated. As of August 3, 2023, there are 35 countries that have provided military assistance to Ukraine. You guys have a pretty good one going though it actually brings up lots of points of intrest on both |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
What you said is correct, but the thing is basically; “10% of whale is its head, whereas in a mouse 20% of the area is its head (made up numbers), so if a mice head had the equivalent of a whale head in proportion to his body, its head would be twice as small”. Whiskeyoutpost: “LOL no!! a whale head is bigger than 100000000 mouses !!! You are so wrong!!!” |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
LOL I best just stfu then when I'm this gonzo... Im stl ttying to wrap my head around your statement while I do that I did find this from the Institute for the study of war, a non profit.. I have no idea of their credentials, also go straight to the source and read what they have along with this ![]() I× Please note that this table is only an estimate, as the front lines are constantly shifting. The actual amount of territory that Russia has seized and Ukraine has retaken may be different. As you can see, Russia has made significant gains in the early, but Ukraine has taken back significant swaths once they we're able to get organized ×| Honestly though this like it's kind of off I feel like Ukraine has taken back way more than what's being shown on this but I've also never really thought about it or anything until listening to you 2 go at it |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread V
Screenshot time. Here is Faust's goofy claim from last year, pictured below. Which is laughably incorrect even adjusting for the size difference of the US and Ukraine. I did the math. Russia controlled around 18% of Ukrainian territory in October last year, which equates to 108,648 square km, including Crimea and occupied Donbas. It seems Faust forgot Alaska existed ( Alaska is roughly 1,723,000 sq km. If we counted Alaska, Russia controls less than than that... So Russia doesn't control "the equivalent of the 10 biggest US states", it controls less than the biggest US state. |
