I'm pretty sure I've said this recently, but any chance of a dedicated thread for drones dropping grenades on Russians? I find them fascinating. Can't recall previous wars where they've been used in such a way correct me if wrong

No you are absolutely correct. There's been a huge "movement", if you will, of small scale drone warfare used in this war.

As far as having a separate thread for them, I will just say it's already tedious work separating media in the existing threads we have. Having to put drone footage in another thread would just make things even more tedious.

You can always use the search function in each media thread to search for the word "drone" which would bring up any posts with drone used in the description.


Down the road I might create a post in the directory thread just for drone footage but given there is so much of it, that might be a lot of work to find them all and keep up with anything new that gets posted.

If there is a nexus to a pending WWIII, it’s not the Ukrainians being given F16s.

If there’s a nexus to WWIII, it was Putin being allowed to steal Crimea in 2014.

Hasn’t gotten the conclusion he wants. He will press that button. And we won’t be sitting here talking about it cos we’ll all be too busy just trying to survive. There can be only one end to this conflict. And I think it’s really dire.

I cannot see Poo Tin giving up and just walking away. The Russian general public seem to believe what he’s telling them. You would think in this day and age they would see that what he is doing is just crazy. Yet he seems to have lots of support.

I’d love to see an end. But. I fear it’s not going to be in the way we all want.

I wonder how much work it would be to add "tagging" system to the forum/media.
I.e you could upload a video of drones attacking russian trenches and tag the video with #drone #russia #trench #attack

And in the search function, you could search those tags and see a list of all the videos with those tags.
It would basically generate a playlist on the fly, using search criteria.

I would absolutely love to include tags. I've already been going back over all the media posted from the beginning and categorizing them for things. I have a giant spreadsheet of categories with links to relative media but I've only gotten to June 2022. I plan on creating a post for each tab in the directory thread.

This is an example of the spreadsheet for the "Aircraft" category.





I would actually be willing to, over time, go back over all the posts and put hashtags in. It's just going to be a lot of work and will take a while. I could then create a post in the directory thread that lists all of the tags that are used. The only other issue I can foresee is getting everyone who posts content to use them as they post stuff. It's already an issue that at least one person describes their media like a teenaged boy.

I'll will talk to KH and see what he says about it.
