Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
It's because the people here are biased and only post ukrainian side. https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineRussiaReport/ This reddit thread is really the only neutral place regarding this war. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
There are people here who post both sides - but we've been busy. If you'd like to participate in posting Russian sourced media - we could use the help. I'm happy to provide you with some sources to get you started. We don't make a habit of forcing anyone to post anything they don't want to and are appreciative that people are posting anything at all.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
Maybe the Trump side are using chat gpt and took its advice. To me I found it shocking. If this is the kind of ally we have then we should be treading very carefully because hes just as dangerous as Pootin.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
Well, Trump really is dangerous, both to United States and To the rest of the world. He is actually pushing the world closer to world war 3, by destabilizing NATO and firm alliances. If WW3 erupts and things escalate, then only because russia saw the uncertainty in the western democracies and their decision making. Now that Article 5 is under a question mark, russia is far more likely to consider an invasion of a nato country, like the Baltics or Poland.( not now, but in near future, perhaps in a few years ). Peace through power is the age old saying.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
Vance: “She is asking what if Russia breaks the ceasefire.” Trump: “What, if anything? What if the bomb drops on your head right now? OK, what if they broke it? I don’t know, they broke it with Biden because Biden, they didn’t respect him. They didn’t respect Obama. They respect me. Let me tell you, Putin went through a hell of a lot with me. He went through a phony witch hunt ... All I can say is this. He might have broken deals with Obama and Bush, and he might have broken them with Biden. He did, maybe. Maybe he did. I don’t know what happened, but he didn’t break them with me. He wants to make a deal. I don’t know if he can make a deal.” “The problem is I’ve empowered you to be a tough guy, and I don’t think you’d be a tough guy without the United States. And your people are very brave. " "All right, I think we’ve seen enough. What do you think? This is going to be great television. I will say that.” Trump is not taking into account his mortality, let's pretend he is right, Putin will respect him when he "did not respect Biden and Obama". What happens at the end of four years when Trump is at the end of his 2nd Presidential term? He is not going to be re-elected (unless he changes term limits like Putin and Xi) and he will be 82? He just wants to be able to take credit for ending the war right now, he does not care that it will flare up again because there are no security guarantees for Ukraine. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX
Donald Trump is reportedly furious that so many European leaders are pledging enough support, money and arms to Ukraine to sideline him completely, and was overheard shouting to his staffers "This is supposed to be MY deal, and MY Nobel Peace Prize!".
