Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX

Videos exist, but I think they generally suck at capturing good combat footage. So much so, they have faked a lot.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX

H8PPL_LVindvidual

Originally there were a few pro ruskie fuckers posting orc stuff, but they got called out over posting fake videos ect & subsequently banned for spreading hate when this was pointed out to them, plenty of warnings were given to them but eventually they had to go because of the level of bs & we are here to get a basic understanding of what's going on but when one of them starts there shit to uphold their own personal agenda that's when things start to go off topic & the thread gets derailed, so I suggest that if you want to see a bit of that, go back to the start of this smo, some 2 1/2 years ago & you will see that from the get go, it was both sides being covered & a lot of infighting for a year & a half before things settled down.
Also, it takes an incredible amount of time to scan for material to post & make sure that it's relevant to the time frame, that it's factual & credible material to post & this entails proofing everything via other sources & all this takes an incredible amount of time & when you're posting for two sides it becomes apparent that it takes a hell of a lot of time to verify stuff before posting it as you would yourself get called out just for posting it regardless if your neutral or not, so yeah, many hours spent sifting through stuff each day before a post.
Take WonderMomma for instance, she posted daily for 2 years straight & on the most part it was for both sides until she stopped doing it as it can take it's toll that's for sure & now Kelly has taken it upon himself to keep us up to date with factual stuff, there's a few others who post from time to time but yes, it's mostly UAF stuff now because of these dim witted orc sympathizes who got banned for their over the top carry on about things that were mostly false & misleading which hurt the site as a whole, so yeah, the propaganda bs has dropped off heaps since they have gone but there's a post every now & then from the russian side about this or that.
In closing, if you want to get more involved & contribute to the feed, either on behalf of a UAF or RAF supporter or even if your neutral & want to share your video footage that you have come across relevant to the invasion, discuss tactics, drone innovations, military hardware, sabotage ect & basicly anything to do with this smo, please, go right ahead as the more sources of information that we all put together make the picture a lot more clearer for everyone who comes to these threads to catch up the best that they can & with that being said, just make sure that you check your sources before you post as if it's shit, propaganda or otherwise, you will definitely hear about it.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX

I had a friend who's super pro Russian. He'd prolly suck Putin's cock if it meant he could live there with his dream boyfriend. Anyways, he's too stupid to see they're getting their shit wrecked but I did have a question rise up.

Where are all the Russian videos of them killing Ukrainian soldiers? How come we are flooded with videos of killing Russians, but the Russians aren't flooding us with videos of them beating Ukraine?

Do they seriously not have a single video of a successful drone hit on Ukrainians? Or have I just not been able to tell the difference in these videos?

He thinks it's all propaganda and that the Russians are just more "quiet" about their comings and goings.

Help me tell this retard to quit suckin Putin's cock every day.
Most russian videos are uploaded to Telegram or vkontakte groups( russian facebook ).

There are as many russian videos as t here are ukrainian ones( just not here ). For example, recently, russians took vuhledar and executed a lot of prisoners there. I haven't seen those videos yet, but they are out there.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IX

Mediazona, in collaboration with BBC news russian service and a team of volunteers, maintains a named list of deceased russian military personnel.

This list is compiled from verified, publicly available sources, including social media posts by family members, local news reports, and official announcements from regional authorities.

This list is not exhaustive, as not every military death becomes public knowledge.

To provide a more comprehensive picture of the war’s impact, we offer a second figure: an estimate of excess mortality among men, based on Probate registry data.

This method was developed in collaboration with Meduza, to address the limitations of relying solely on publicly reported deaths.

Last update of the named list: September 13, 2024.

Last update of the Probate Registry estimate: July 5, 2024; estimate as of late June 2024.

This week, Verstka, a russian independent media outlet, published an article about how volunteers are “ageing.”

The publication’s sources say that people of an increasingly older age are signing up for the war—a trend that has become particularly noticeable in 2024.

As Verstka reports, soldiers are complaining that “now the entire personnel are ‘grandpas’.”

This trend is clearly visible in the data on those killed.

The volunteers, in fact, were never young men. The difference in age between the enlisted men and the contract servicemen was evident at the end of the summer of 2022 in our graph showing the ages of those killed.

The contract soldiers who participated in the invasion at the very beginning of the war were young—on average, about 25 years old.

However, when the Ministry of Defence and other government agencies opened recruitment for the war, it was men over 35 who went to the front.

Our data on those killed shows that volunteers are the oldest group, with a peak at 48–50 years old; even the mobilised soldiers and prisoners, with a peak at 33–35 years old, are younger than them.

In 2023–2024, this trend has only intensified, as is clearly visible in the graphs.

Here’s how the losses are distributed across russian regions. These are absolute numbers, not adjusted for population or number of military units.

On the map, you can choose between total losses and losses by military branch, as well as see where the deceased mobilised soldiers were from.

In most cases, from death reports or indirect signs (uniform or sleeve patches in photos), it’s possible to determine which branch of the military the deceased served in, or how they joined the army (mobilised, volunteer, prisoner, etc.)

We compared these groups of servicemen on a separate graph.

From early summer, volunteers bore the brunt of the losses, which is strikingly different from the situation in the initial stage of the war: in winter and early spring, the Airborne Forces suffered the greatest damage, followed by the Motorised Rifle troops.

By the end of 2022 and the beginning of the next year, losses among prisoners recruited into the Wagner PMC increased markedly. They were formed into “assault groups” to overwhelm Ukrainian positions near Bakhmut.

By March 2023, prisoners became the largest category of war losses. After the capture of Bakhmut, there have been no cases of mass use of prisoners so far.

By September 2024, volunteers once again emerged as the largest category among the KIA.

This shift reflects a cumulative effect: prison recruitment had significantly waned, no new mobilisation had been announced, yet the stream of volunteers continued unabated.

By September 27, the death of over 4,200 officers of the russian army and other security structures had been confirmed.

To date, reports of the deaths of two deputy army commanders have been officially confirmed—Major General Andrei Sukhovetsky of the 41st Army and Major General Vladimir Frolov of the 8th Army.

On May 22, 2022, fighter pilot, 63-year-old retired Major General Kanamat Botashev died; most likely, he went to war as a volunteer. The deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Captain 1st Rank Andrei Paliy, was also killed. On June 5, 2022, the death of Major General Roman Kutuzov was reported.

In June 2023, Major General Sergei Goryachev was killed. He was the chief of staff of the 35th Combined Arms Army and commanded the repulsion of the Ukrainian counterattack in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In July 2023, the death of the first Lieutenant General was confirmed—Oleg Tsokov, deputy commander of the Southern Military District.

In November 2023, Major General Vladimir Zavadsky was killed. He was the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps.

The date of death of servicemen is specified in 54,400 reports. The number of losses per day according to this data hardly reflects the real picture, but it allows us to assume on which days the battles were the most intense.

It should always be taken into account that the data of the last few weeks is the most incomplete and may change significantly in the future.

Age is mentioned in 61,100 reports. In the first six months of the war, when the regular army participated in the invasion without volunteers, mobilised soldiers, and prisoners, most deaths were in the 21–23 age group.

Volunteers and mobilised soldiers are significantly older: people voluntarily go to war at 30–35 years or older, and the mobilised are generally over 25.

Rather interesting to see the average age is getting older.

I’m not a leftie but I hoped trump wouldn’t get in

Now he has it’s interesting. I wonder if he will cut all the US funding to Ukraine now and end the war in two days as he kept saying. Be watching this closely over the coming months

Putin has already said he's willing to talk with trump.

Whoever lets Putin win Ukraine, will go down in history as a failure. Trump knows this.

My money is on him cutting a deal, or FLOODING the country with ACTUAL WEAPONS, and forcing Putin to surrender.

Thats also my reasoning. A total sellout would let Trump look like a loser (also see Biden and the chaotic retreat from Kabul). Trump surely wouldn't like that. Lets wait what might happen.

Its possible that he just ditches Selensky and Ukraine for a total Russian victory. But I somehow can't believe that.
