Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
Dear Wailode- Russia is not investing in a build-up of forces to launch a winter assault, they are instead desperately replenishing forces attritted by an unsuccessful military action they were expecting to "win" within a few days. Now that they are well past day three-hundred, they are gathering any and all surplus weaponry they have left throughout their country and the countries they have positive relations with. Long-obsolete soviet-era weapons will be employed as the stockpile of serviceable modern weapons are expended. Throwing a million bodies at this little problem will not give the Russians any leg up on UA forces, as they will be ill-equipped to deal with the weather, let alone the drones, missiles, artillery, and bullets flying toward them with increasing regularity. Most of the projectiles will have some "Made in USA" lineage attached to them, as (I've said it before, and I'll say it again for the newbies) the US military-industrial complex is using the Ukraine invasion as a huge proving ground for their weapons with no American boots on the ground. I'd like to think our humble little democracy would be above these shenanigans, but we're not. It's how the game is played. If Putin is ready and willing to negotiate a peace (unlikely), I would like to think that, as long as the Ukrainians are willing to fight for their own real estate and the gravy train of modern equipment continues to flow to their capable hands from allied countries, they won't concede anything to the Russians. An often used phrase applicable here is, "Respect our Existence or Expect our Resistance." Slava Ukraine, Bitch. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
You are so delusional about state of long term war that its not even worth commenting seriously. Keep talking about your "democracy" wet dream. Ukraine is really peak of democracy nowadays :D We already saw it many times in last 50 years. Broken countries, genocide, corruption, massive propaganda, not taking responsibility for actions, division. Dark faith for all USA puppet regimes and failed wars. Most of sane people can see this from miles ago. Ukraine crumbling regime boosted by crooked usa coupe d'etat is exposing itself every day. Reality will hit every dream. Soon or later. |

As horrible war is, know what the best thing about this is? It's for a worthy cause. Russia bit off far more than it could chew, and they are paying for it dearly, with interest. |

What drugs are you on, just pure copium. And no one ever said Ukraine is some beacon of liberty or democracy, just another sad strawman fallacy like usual from the ethically questionable crowd. "Crumbling" regime |

Saying someone who lives in barbie world and believes every naive narative of your propaganda. Ofc its not democracy, its dictature full of crimes and ethnic chauvinism. This country is full of criminals who openly support azov, bandera and historical crime figures. People in leadership failed their people and divided nation. Also: Biden is now currently under investigation for co-op with FBI and twitter collusion. Typical for this corrupted nation of warmongers. Even Logan Paul with his scams have better propaganda then these individuals in USA leadership. Empire of lies. Thats what you are. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
Wailode keeps hitting the "Repeat, but phrase it differently" button. Not impressed. Where is that on the keyboard, BTW? The reality is, if Ukraine for some reason, just up and get suddenly slaughtered, the pond water will ripple, but the magnitude and severity will be greatly reduced before it reaches our shores. Wailode, that's called a metaphor. Anyway, how will the lives of United States citizenry be affected? Not in the least. Unless I see nuclear-tipped missiles arcing through the sky aimed towards major North American population centers, I will blissfully anchor down my couch with my fat ass while you obsess regarding your fragile and fraught relationship with your former communist overlords, trying to change everyone here's perspective to match your own. Tell yourself your right, and if you're wrong, you'll watch cottage countries fall like dominoes in your own backyard. If the collective we here at DR are wrong, we'll have a bit of a hard time procuring beluga caviar and Russian nesting dolls, and we might have to pay a few cents more for a gallon of gas, but we'll still have the sanctity of our borders (our southern border notwithstanding) and American football on Sunday. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
Its amazing to see that USA citizens are ok with supporting foreign wars and actually believing that cause is worth the deal and bilions of dollars. Really, decline of the USA in real time. When you create new enemy every year or two, soon or later karma will caught up to you as nation. Biggest military complex in the world. Problem is that it is lacking in morality of its actions. History proves it. About the "communist overlords" I dont idealize them. Slovakia lived under influence of russia for many decades. For me both. Russia and USA are evil. The problem with USA is they dont know their limits. Russia is more reactionary. Russia will give you shit. Usa will do same, but act as its gold. |
