Also WonderMomma: I remember you asked somewhere else. "Cotton" or "Bavovna" if I remember correctly is slang for explosions/detonations. Because of its visual resemblance to the smoky aftermath of explosions, especially large ones.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III

So with Duntez's explaination and yours, Whiskey... it could mean either specific Russians or explosions/detonations...

Appreciate you both explaining!

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III

Pretty much what Ukraine did to Krimean people. Without bombing like Donbas… power lines were cut/blown up and blocked the water channel. Some of them had a good laugh about it… even memes were made
So...Ukraine was systematically destroying Crimean civilian infrastructure in the Crimean territory...before the Russian annexation?
I doubt it.
I even doubt that Ukraine did anything serious in the Crimean territory after the occupation. Cutting water/power lines on your own territory is not the same as destroying power stations in another country.
This is not comparable in any way to what Russia is doing.
If Russia wanted to do something similar, then it would cut its own power export to Ukraine...not blow up Ukraine's power stations.
I haven't looked into it, but you probably now - how many power stations did Ukraine destroy in Crimea?
( I'm not talking about stuff outside Crimea)

No, it’s not the same, but people were without water and power. I’m not talking about damage to the infrastructure, rather what people had to deal with. And while you comparing to what’s going on now, back than it was a disaster too

1. An interview of BBC Newsnight with Russian ambassador in the UK. "Here is evidence of Russian war crimes after a UN investigation" - "You can find anything on the Internet".

2. "Is your son fighting in Ukraine? " - "My son is a grown-up, he has a family".

Kazakhs in Astana informed the world with a large-scale inscription that "Putin is a disgrace."

Gotta love those American adult actresses now recruiting for papa Putin. She must have lost a game of hammer sickle vodka.

These quotes will be in the history books some day :D

Also, his son has no military expericene?
1) So what....a lot of conscripts dont
2) Why doesnt he have any military experience if he is a grownup. Isnt military service still mandatory in Russia.
