Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

All kinds of different numbers coming out on this incident. Some are saying 22 dead, others saying 11 dead.

Two men opened fire on volunteer troops at a Russian military shooting range near Ukraine, killing 11 and wounding 15 others, the Russian defence ministry has said.

The shooting is said to have taken place in the Belgorod region in southwestern Russia, which borders Ukraine.

Moscow's defence ministry said that the two men from an unnamed former Soviet nation opened fire on other soldiers during target practice, before being killed by return fire.

The ministry called the incident a terrorist attack.
The shooting comes after President Vladimir Putin ordered a hasty mobilisation to beef up the Russian forces in Ukraine.

Earlier, the defence ministry in Belarus released images of Russian troops arriving in the country as part of a "regional grouping".

Pictures showed a band playing and female troops presenting food to Russian soldiers.

Meanwhile, the UK Ministry of Defence said that many of the reserve troops being called up by Russia are probably having to buy their own body armour.

In its morning briefing on Saturday, it said the modern 6B45 vest - which is meant to be standard issue - is selling online for 40,000 roubles, up from about 12,000 roubles in April.

Some 300,000 reservists are being called up, according to Russia, as it seeks to halt a wave of successful Ukrainian counterattacks. However, the MoD said their equipment "is almost certainly lower than the already poor provision of previously deployed troops".

The substandard kit comes on top of expert assessments that many of the reservists will be poorly prepared and trained for war on the frontline.

President Putin said on Friday that the call-up would be over in two weeks.

Paying for stuff is ‘outside his lane’ now?
Hes a car salesman, he had no business to try and suggest a peace offering the dills were of course going to reject. Except, he is a sad little troll too and he does all this crap to stir up trouble in the first place. Cause he really has trouble with his sad reality and being a douche helps him deal with that. Kinda like someone else I know.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

I heard Putin is close to developing a top-secret weapon. A time machine, so that he can send his army back to WW1 and give them a fair chance of winning.
If this time machine was ever developed then from our perspective we would have known already. Looks like the Americans were never able to develop it either and by Americans I especially don’t mean the original Americans

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

This morning I joined old friends to an Orthodox Church because I was asked to accompany them. After the sermon or whatever it is called, it came to my attention that there were both Russian as well as Ukrainian natives in the church. They were literally praying next to each other. I thought that was really beautiful. Btw the church was attacked several times earlier even though the majority of the community is Ukrainian lol. Anyway I thought it was worth sharing

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

Half a year has passed since the russian occupiers were driven out of the Kyiv region.
https://metro.co.uk/2022/03/29/ukrai...alks-16365113/

Ukrainian negotiators proposed a status under which their country would not join alliances or host bases of foreign troops but would enjoy some security guarantees underpinned by Nato members.

Top Russian negotiator Vladimir Medinsky said he would examine the Ukrainian proposals and report on them to Mr Putin, as well as signalling Moscow would not block Ukraine joining the European Union.
We all know these were lies, but had the pretence of impending peace not existed, I think it is unlikely that the troops would have pulled back.

This time around however, Zelensky signed a law or some shit that he will never agree to anything as long is Putin is in charge. While the Ukrainians are ‘liberating’ empty towns seemingly filled with nobody below 60 years old; I guess is next week will be the week to either take or destroy Kiev. They can turn it into Syria. Millions of additional refugees will further weaken both the Euro as well as Europe before they realise the USA led NATO actions always devaluate the European continent. The people will only take to the streets once there are energy blackouts, but lets hope we survive the winter first!

He helped Ukraine more than any other so called patriot in UA government. He has a right to say his opinion more than anybody else. Like my father in law said ( who’s Ukrainian and all in for Ukraine) he helped/helping my country more than I have a right to judge him for his opinion.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

Idk how true this is but some TCs stating that Strelkov joined RF army and went of to the front near Kherson. rank or position is unknown. His (wife?) in his TC said that he is fine and soon will be back online as subscribers were wondering why he disappeared.

He can have an opinion but still needs to keep his mouth shut in public. It was a publicity stunt.
