Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

Anyway in the WSJ article they are saying that 10.000 UKR troops were trained for the past 8 years to be nato soldiers. It is a respected western source so I thought you might believe it
"To be NATO soldiers". No, it's just western military training and organization, utilized by most countries who are members of NATO. A dumb statement.

It would be even dumber to try and create a reality where claims that guy made were actually written in the Russian media.

That is some “Zelensky meant Nato sanctions!!”-level of spinning.

I can admit I was wrong. I thought the bridge would be out of commission for a long time. When it was written that Russia claimed it would be reopened for traffic I thought that had to be Russian state propaganda or something as I had seen the explosion and damage videos. However, I went to RT.com and it was written there as well. So I started to think it maybe could be done after all.

Turns out they were right.

Does not mean there won’t be additional repairs, or that it won’t collapse on itself before Monday. However, it DID get reopened so I was wrong in my initial assessment

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

I didn’t want to post it because it is from the BBC news. But I just read a pretty good article about the unseen impact of the war on off all things nature.

It was talking about the fact that Ukraine has two packs of very rare wolves quote. There have been two wolf packs in this region, and the Polesian wolf is one of the largest in the world“. And another type called lynx wolves and about some types of Moose.

Apparently these animals are amongst the only ones left in Europe. So they have found remains where some animals have stepped on land mines but also the fact of the large number of rare plants also that are only found there

It’s something everyone neglects to think about and I realise they are not considered as important as humans. But it’s another example of the damage that’s being done that isn’t really thought about.

I hope that Putin will see sense and stop with his invasion of his neighbour. It’s a shame because I wonder how many Russians truly agree with this war. It seems to me all it is doing is lining the pockets of the rich and costing the poor. The sooner it all ends the better. For everyone and everything.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

probably off topic, but I think its cool, considering what's going on. Plus I think I havnt seen them this friendly to each other before in Syria.
Russian and US troops exchanged greetings as their patrol routes crossed at an oil field near the Syrian town of Al Qahtania in the northeastern province of Hasakah, close to the border with Turkey.

I consider them just as important. And I "connect" with animals much better than I do people. There's so many animals being affected over there that sometimes I have to push the thought out of my head.

Animals and kids. They get me right in the feels.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II

5 months ago Russians were claiming that the Crimea Bridge was impossible to attack.

Because, they said, the bridge is protected with 20 different modes of protection, including military dolphins.

Haaaa... I saw that and literally thought it was a meme. You mean to say it's actually a thing?

WTF.

You've been gone for weeks and some stuff was changed around to prevent the media thread from getting spammed with comments and unrelated media. That's all. It's pretty self explanatory but anyone would have been happy to explain it to you if you needed help figuring it out.

Now you're mad at us? All I said to you was that there was a mobilization/protest thread for the video you posted and that I hadn't seen it. Turns out it was years old and from Syria, according to Duntez.

Did I fuck off the 5-6 reposts you made? No. Did I fuck off the useless comment in the media thread about taking a break and smoking a joint? Nope. Did I fuck off the dwarf picture you posted in the media thread (which was a repost btw)? Sure didn’t.

Be mad all you want but stop the dramatics. You should be mad at yourself. All you had to do was ask or spend 10 minutes acquainting yourself with the changes before going all ham.
