You make it sound like Maidan was an attempt to send east Ukrainians into concentration camps or something.
It would have had almost no real effect on people living in Donbass. Whatever effect it would have had would have been nothing compared to what Russia is doing with its war.
Just imagine a parallel world in which a corrupt politician who lied and backpedaled on his promises was deposed by its people and a new one was elected. Imagine that people in Donbass did nothing and just kept going to their work and living their life as they always had. How much worse would their life have been now, compared to their life now at war?

No, not any fucker. It wasn't a "single fucker" who took power for no reason. It was a massive amount of people, who fought for what they were promised. If a politician promised one thing during the campaign and then did something completely different...then they must be held accountable, and an event like Maidan is justified...and good. Every western nation should protest and depose politicians that backtrack on their promises. This would make democratically elected officials accountable to their people.

Without Russian funding and efforts...this war would not have happened.
People in Donbas would just live their life as they had always done and that would be it. After 1 election cycle, they would get another president and another government.

To me Maidan is not justified. If they have followed the agreement and presidential elections took place as agreed than maybe it could of been justified. Everything was wrong bout Maidain. Killing their own from behind, from Hotel Ukraine ( was under opposition control)...some bullets went into the trees and you see Maidan supporters falling dead or wounded and cant understand where is the shooting coming from. Ofc Maidan leaders blamed UA police. Later on those trees were cut down to hide evidence and terminate unpopular opinions. Lady at "Shuster life" said:" right now police started to beat up students" and she said it 15 mins before it happened... and so on. This Maidan was suppose to have good a intensions, but the outcome was catastrophic.

He belonged to a pro-Russian party and THAT as well as his support from Russia is why he didn't follow through on his word to the people to align with the west.
He used his special police force, the Berkut, to threaten, attack, and torture Ukrainian protesters. They were already considered a controversial national police force under his personal command and were accused of promoting Russian interests.
He was a corrupt businessman in his previous life before his political career.
He was corrupt after his political career began.
He's accused of raping a woman his thugs beat to a bloody pulp in his past.
Evidence was found in his compound of a hit list of his enemies, one being a well known case of a female Ukrainian journalist was severely beaten for saying something about him he didn't like.
He forged a judges signature in a previous case of assault he served time for to get it expunged from his record.

He was playing his games with EU and Rus to find a better deal. EU or "Customs Union" ..this one fact made me think that he is not Rus puppet. What made you think I defend him? The only way peacefully to change the goverment and the president is by following the Law, constitution and agreement made between Maidan and him. He was a legitimate president, period. Its a fact. If anything, I dont defend him, I hate that new goverment that came to power the way they did and what they did later. Yanukovich had to go for numerous reasons and he agreed with all the terms opposition landed on his table. If Maidan leaders simply followed what they made him sign...it would be a different story.
