I ended up listening to the Russian national anthem one night as can happen on Pandora sometimes, and it sounded awfully familiar. I think I have to read the wiki again cause I'm still confused.

My god. That is bad.  I thought for sure it would include ShittyFlute rendition but the real thing was bad enough. I fixed it though. Way better.
