I feel like they keep getting majorly fucked and aren't as strong as they appear because of a lack of standards. A quarter of them look like actual operators, another quarter look like militia, and the last half look like civilians or clown insurgents. Russian military is basically a laughing stock. The only thing they have going is their numbers, but that doesn't last against the war tech we have today.

It's like what Frogman said in his comment plus we don't know 99% of all individuals in all death related vids on this site but when someone died a post mortem pic is always highly appreciated as some sort of confirmation of the reality of death as we only see a short moment of their faces when a drone etc. films them.

For me, by looking at the alive pics, it confirms it's a mix of young people going for the adventure, money or ideological ideas, possibly influenced by propaganda where to fight for and people that look like ex prisoners or just poor people trying to survive to get a better life without poverty or facing a long imprisonment when they decide not to enlist and the usual real military men, which most would expect being involved in a war.

Generally speaking, I have no sympathy for dead Russians, but JFC some of these old men should be enjoying their golden years in peace and playing with/doting on their grandkids.
