^ This. Also as a drone goes lower in altitude, its line-of-sight with the drone operator gets more precarious, resulting in a spotty radio data link. |

That probably happens too, but they’re usually relaying the control signal through the higher-altitude controlling drone.

Many have said that its the jamming equpment and it may explain the "fuz/disruption", but it doesnt explain the complete loss of signal, especially when attacking single soldiers on a field who almost certainly are not carrying jamming equipment. The reason why the video cuts out( in my oppinion ) is due to the latency in processing and signal transmition. I.e if there is 1000ms latency( drone needs to process, compress and transmit the signal ) then in that 1000ms, at the speed of 40km/h, the drone will travel around 10 meters( 32feet ) in that time. If the latency is 300ms( equal to the latency in some crappy game servers ), then the drone would lose its last 10 feet worth of signal. These drones may have high latency due to nearby jamming stations, which would force the drone to re-send packets over and over, many times. |

I noticed that as well. I also know the jammers run in the 2.4 to 5.8 Ghz range. They always seem to hit the mark. Is the range poor on the jammers? Do the drone operators randomly cycle the frequency to avoid interception? Sorry for all the questions.
