There was zero dialogue taking place. If someone is trying to surrender you'd be screaming it. That first guy was trying to hide and hope they wouldn't check his hole.

Honestly, it's all laughable to argue anything about how this video played out. It's a war. They were part of the invading country. They shouldn't even be there. But they are so this is what happens during combat. If you want to surrender you make that known vocally before the man with the gun gets in arms length of you.
