- Lyman has been liberated by Ukrainian forces. Russian Telegrams reported that by noon on 1 October it became obvious they could not continue fighting after the ZSU entered the town. Remaining Russian units pulled out of the city towards Zarichne.

- A very low-flying Russian Ka-52 helicopter was shot down by a MANPADS system somewhere in Zaporizhia oblast in southern Ukraine. The first impact is the helicopter being struck, the second one is it hitting the ground.

- Today. A single large artillery shell takes out a group of Russians moving a wounded man, one takes off running. Shell fired by an artillery unit in Ukraine's 108th Brigade.
