I wonder how they were shot down or if they just crashed?

If it was a manpad the camera man would be a target for the 3rd plane.

There’s no way that 2nd pilot survived, his chute didn’t open before he hit the ground.

Those were trained combat pilots so I seriously doubt that they crashed on their own. My guess is that they were shot down.

Are those Russian or Ukrainian jets?

From a couple of folks I am watching on SM it would appear that was a Russian launch, and the drone capturing it was Ukrainian. Allegedly that launcher was then destroyed by the Ukrainians. Regardless, there appears to be no safe haven when you have ~130 people inside a large theater with “Children” painted on either side of it and that still becomes the target of an aerial attack.
