- Ukrainian Lyman offensive update, Drobysheve had fighting going on for a few days inside the town but remaining Russians have reportedly pulled out and it is now captured.

If this is the case, Ukrainians can move northeast and cut off the secondary roads which are supplying Russian forces in Lyman who are fighting Ukrainians in the streets. A few neighborhoods in Lyman are controlled by Ukraine.

Since Ukraine would not want to force Russians to stand and fight to the death in Lyman, it would be wise of them to not attack and capture Yampil (at the lower right of the map) to allow them an avenue of retreat further into Luhansk/Donyetsk.

Edit: Or, Ukraine takes Yampil and stays away from roads leading to Zarichne (northeast of Lyman) to allow a Russian retreat and excessive Ukrainian casualties from fighting a cornered Russian force in Lyman.
