Ukraine began exhuming more than 440 bodies found in a mass burial site on the edge of liberated city Izium, Kharkiv region. At least 1 civilian showed signs of torture, while 2 bodies (believed to be soldiers) with their hands tied. |

Forgive me for asking. I've seen a lot of these types of weapons dropped on targets where there is virtually no fire or fire based explosion only puffs of smoke or dirt. Is this a type of concussion weapon? I am not well versed on weapon types so please don't make fun of me.

Re: Russian Invasion Ukraine Day 205/206/207/208 (Sept 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th)
No you're good So these dropped weapons are typically grenades that are meant to be fired out of automatic grenade launchers like the Russian AGS system or rifle-mounted launchers like the American M203. Real life "explosions", unless they happen to ignite fuel or something else explosive, don't typically have much "fire" to them. But they do explode, sending shrapnel everywhere and heating up the area around them. A lot of times there's little apparent damage but if something inside the turret or hull happens to catch fire and it's not extinguished, the vehicle will become engulfed with fire and heat and then other things like ammunition and fuel will eventually detonate very dramatically. There are many examples of this in this section. |

Yes cook offs, I've seen many. Sometimes it looks like a box of fireworks was in them. lol And I didn't even think about the shrapnel. Makes sense with a lot of the injuries we see. Thanks for the explanation.
