Re: Russian Invasion Ukraine Day 114/115/116/117/118 (June 18th, 19, 20, 21, 22th)
(continued) Snake Island is approximately... ~45 km? from Ukraine's closest coastline. I am very interested in what did this damage, the D-20 and D-30 artillery clearly don't have the range, the BM-21 Grad MLRS unlikely. Msta-S artillery maybe on a good day with the right ammo and wind, same for 2S7 Pion. The American M777 only has the range with guided Excalibur shells and I doubt the Americans gave them those. American M109 Paladin, nope. Polish Krab? Unlikely. Coastal Neptune surface-to-surface missile battery? Has the range but wrong application. Harpoon? Wrong application. Tochka-U? Easily has the range and accuracy but these rockets would definitely be detected by air defense systems. They have been shot down by both sides in this war. Flying jets/choppers over that with all of those Russian anti-air systems would be guaranteed suicide. Drones? Not close enough to attack, Russians have TOR-M1/M2 systems on it with much greater range. And the Russians on that island are going to be attentive and switched on. I could certainly be wrong but this might be the work of western MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems). Such as the American M270 HIMARS or the German MARS-II with modern enough ammunition. Just my 2 cents. |

Russian MD said it was carried out by MRLS “Uragan”, battery of m777 s and aprox 14 ( I think drones) who were guided by Bayraktar tb2. Most air targets were destroyed by Pancir C and ToR air Defence systems. Attack took place around 5 am. After they have failed they attacked oil/gas Rigs in Black Sea

Stupid Murya actually shared new officer showing mine field placement! Seems a little young too
Боец 109-го стрелкового батальона резерва Донецкой Народной Республики во время тактического занятия на макете местности собирается нанести на ней расположение минных полей.

Ah yes forgot about Uragans. But M777's don't have the range, no way we gave them Excalibur 155's. Looks like the attack was at least a partial success not to mention the oil/gas rigs |

Re: Russian Invasion Ukraine Day 114/115/116/117/118 (June 18th, 19, 20, 21, 22th)
First M777s didn’t have a screen on them for guided “Excalibur’s”, but the second shipment did. At least according to one of the American guys I came across on YouTube, he showed the difference between the two setups right on the pictures from Ukraine, on M777 itself. I herd that Americans didn’t want that type of weapon to be captured by Russians. In the end Russians have similar “Kranopol” it’s not GPS but laser guided but at the same time they are testing now new gen with “Glonnas” system.
