Now, that is completely disingenuous on your part. I can’t tell you, with authority, that that was a Kinzhal, but it definitely doesn’t look like a “random piece of junk”. It’s CLEARLY the head of a missile.

If you look closely, it has an interrupted ogive (curvature from the full diameter to the point), where it steps into a steeper taper to form the point- with no meplat whatsoever. This is a ballistic feature that is often used in a high-super/hyper-sonic projectile to disrupt the stacked up air at the nose in flight. It’s sometimes used in plain-old super-sonic applications, to reduce the instability that comes from transonic flight (accelerating from sub-sonic to super-sonic or decelerating from super-sonic to sub-sonic), but I don’t recall seeing that on any common missile or artillery shell.

I don’t think any of us have the expertise to say whether or not that was a Kinzhal, specifically, but it was, without question, the nose of a projectile that was designed to fly very, very, VERY fast that had a hole blown in the side of it before it could strike its target (else the nose would have been disrupted into a “random piece of junk”).
