A checkpoint at the entrance of the Chernobyl zone nowadays bears little resemblance to the lively site where tourists used to gather. Any movement in the zone is now under the strict control of the military border guards and police.

The enemy entered the Chernobyl zone simultaneously in five different ways in order to surprise the Ukrainian defenders and to take them with encirclement.

The roads were old routes that people used to drive even before the accident at the Chernobyl NPP. (Translation breaks up but looks like they said something about radiation levels)

All the evacuation routes of the civilians who were there were about 3,000 already until this day. The notification system had been worked out. I directly informed the heads of the organization of the institutions and they each informed their subordinates and, in fact, it worked very effectively. Unfortunately, not all of the invaders left, they took the employees of the NPP hostage, and 169 national guardsmen remained in the occupation. About 80 self-settled people who also were in the Chernoby zone.

After the evacuation was completed, the military blew up the bridge across the river. This helped to stop the hordes for several hours and gave our fighters the opportunity to get out of the shelling but already in the evening, dozens of equipment from the convoy with completely different equipment. It was possible to see this happening with the help of the video camera of the tourist operator “Chernobyl Tours”.

The director of the travel agency, Yaroslav Emelianenko, says that they captured enemy convoys and passed the information to the Ukrainian military.

“They rode on absolutely everything from armored vehicles to tanks, armored personnel carriers with guns, and carried guns, ammunition, security vehicles, and four-wheel drive vehicles. They even drove quad bikes, carried pontoons. Article 56 of the Geneva Conventions protocol directly prohibits any near any NPP. The aggressor did not stop attacking either the Chernobyl zone or the Zaporizhzhya and southern Ukrainian nuclear plants today. Putin is threatening the whole world with nuclear weapons in the style of a cheating poker player.

Putin: Translation breaks up but the part that repeats and slows down says “not bluffing”.

In the territory of the Chernobyl exclusion zone it’s calm now but only at first glance.

On the other side along the border, dictator Lukashenka’s troops conduct constant training and the bases of the Russian army on the territory of Belarus are replenished with new soldiers and manpower. So the Ukrainian defenders are preparing for any scenario so the Rashitsky slogan can be repeated before the deathly growl of the beast.
