Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Looks like my guess was right. Your reasoning is emotional decision making and desire to be a rebel because others' stuff bothers you so much. Bad reason to do anything. I have neighbors like you who hate the other side so much that they latch onto anything because it makes the other side look bad. Have respect for yourself You're just mad. I wouldn't have been able to do anything in my life that I've done if that was the case and I doubt that's the case with the people here who disagree with you. The US has its transgressions and I know them better than most. I think you'd be surprised if you asked me what I thought about our sordid history. It actually got me into a fight once. But this is Ukraine and Russia. Not the US, not South Korea, not Australia. I think attempts to deflect and change the subject is indicative of a weak argument and poor logic. And you just revealed here that your reasonings are largely emotional. Your posts don't bother me and they never have. But my posts are mostly about how the Russians are "doing" to be fair. I didn't know this lived in your head rent-free. Be prepared for more because I am not stopping. But not because of you, or others. I just like posting here, the more content the better, right? |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
It is a very American thing to root for the underdog. Most people look at Ukraine as the weaker opponent in this fight, and for good reason. Ukraine may eventually fall to sheer numbers put up by Russia, but you cannot say they are not putting up an extremely good fight. Punching above their weight class, you might say. Two things I see as a takeaway from this conflict - one, they who control the skies control the ground, and neither side has established firm air superiority up to this point. Two, the tactics of warfare need to further evolve to practice threat mitigation in a sphere rather than just left, right, forward, and back. The Russians seem to be fighting using tactics that are decades old. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Emotional is right, but example is wrong. Your neighbors are egocentric, Envious morons sounds like. This is not the case. I spent there half of my life. I know that culture, I know those people and I deff take a pride of where I’m from and who I am. So yes, sometimes I take it personal. I had some arguments about politics before on this site and in real life and guess what, Americans do take it personal too, some would start WHATABOUTISM, others would try to protect or explain. I hope you got my point. you call it change of subject and weak argument, I call it pointing at double standards and Hypocrisy. Posts about this war don’t bother me, that’s what brought me here to begin with. |

So, Sir Bullet, what is your background and home country? Not here to judge, instead, would like to see where you’re coming from. General terms are fine. I’ll start. Male, early sixties, military retiree, right-leaning moderate. I’ve been out of the country, primarily Asia. Your turn. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
No one believes that the "rest of the world is backward, stupid, ignorant, wrong, has no values, uncultured, uncivilised". We do however know that Russia is "backward, stupid, ignorant, wrong, has no values, uncultured and uncivilised." You don't even need American tv to get proof of it. You can just look at Russian TV where the hosts competing about asslicking Mr Putler the most, are fantasying about bombing the UK, US, France etc, with nukes. Not to mention their regime implying that nearly every country in the free world are nazis. Thank god that being "backward, stupid, ignorant, wrong, has no values, uncultured and uncivilised" makes the ground for a really shitty military force. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Yeah, all NATO and/or EU members have to do as USA says, we just have to look on the facts to see that: Just look at Mr. Erdogan in Turkey who have dubious connections with Islamic extremists and a few years ago purchased Russian S400 SAMs. I guess that was because USA ordered him to do it. Or Mr Orban in Hungary, which is known to have been quite friendly with Mr Putler. I guess USA also ordered him to do that. EU members Finland and Sweden have until recently chosen to stay out of NATO to avoid provoking Putler. Strange that USA didn't order them to join NATO earlier. I guess USA saw Ukraine with its 2014-mighty army as a better choice to get NATO closer to Russia. As we all remember in 2003 US decided to invade Iraq, and as we all remember they ordered all NATO and EU members to join them. I guess NATO was a very small alliance in 2003, as only UK, Poland, and non-NATO member Australia joined them. That is strange as I could have sworn that NATO had > 20 members in 2003, but I guess it is just TV that tricked me into believing that. And of course, when you join NATO or EU, you are a slave to them forever. Just look at how the UK couldn't leave the EU when they wanted to. Russia handles these kind of break ups much better. |

1. They do. Just like any other lives. 2. Feel free. Just tell me up front if you ask me out so I can politely decline. 3. Absolutely. Not my place to judge. 4. White people fucked 'em. Hard. 5. And so forth. |
