Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Opinion of Russian Colonel Mikhail Khodarenok. Because the Kremlin allowed this to air on Russian TV, I guess they're testing Russians' opinions to see if they should make an exit. The invasion is a clear failure afterall and is impossible to hide. From PonarsEurasia.org: One early dissenter is retired Colonel Mikhail Khodarenok, a former General Staff officer. Khodarenok was born in 1954 and served in air defense before working in the administration of the General Staff from 1992-2000. Since then, he has been an author and journalist, serving as editor of the Military-Industry Courier, a daily paper with close ties to the military-industrial complex, from 2010-2015. He currently writes for Gazeta.ru and the radio station Vesti-FM. |

RUSSIAN OFFENSIVE CAMPAIGN ASSESSMENT, MAY 10 Key Takeaways - The Ukrainian counteroffensive in northern Kharkiv took further ground and have possibly closed to within 10km of the Russian border. - Belarusian authorities are escalating rhetoric accusing NATO and the US of threatening Belarusian borders, but Belarus remains unlikely to join the war. - Russian operations around Izyum remain stalled. - DNR and Russian forces are advancing efforts to consolidate their control of the ruins of Mariupol, including reportedly attempting to reopen steel plants to produce military equipment. - Russian forces in eastern Ukraine continued attempts to encircle the Severodonetsk area and reportedly reached the Donetsk-Luhansk administrative border from Popasna. - Russian and Ukrainian forces did not conduct any significant attacks on the southern axis. Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
The point is it's a well respected Russian Colonel saying these things, and the things he says actually has evidence backing it. If you did some reading, you'd know the Kremlin uses these tv shows as a gauge to determine Russian citizen support of topics.

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Dude, your history is the twisted one. People keep making silly statements about how “Ukraine sided with the Nazis”, when, really, it was roughly half of Ukrainians who did…after the Nazis invaded. You know who else sided with the Nazis? Russia. Fucking all of it. How did the Molotov-Von Ribbentrop Pact get left out of your understanding of WWII. Stalin didn’t just agree to non-aggression with Hitler, he collaborated. Hitler and Stalin agreed to divide up Eastern Europe amongst themselves, including each taking half of Poland. As part of that division, Russia invaded and occupied Ukraine (SSR) just two years before the Nazis did, and “the Ukrainians” supposedly collaborated with them. The timeline is significant. The Ukrainians supposedly sided with the Nazis in 1941. Just 22 years before that, Communist insurgents from Russia infected Ukraine with communism, taking over their government. Just 9 years before the supposed Nazi collaboration, Stalin’s Holodomor starved millions of Ukrainians to death. Some estimates put Stalin murdering more Ukrainians than Hitler did Jews; Just 9 years in the past. Just 2 years before the Nazis invaded Ukraine, RUSSIA DID. So, fuck your stupid “butbutbut the Youcranes helped tha Nazees” bullshit. Try to be less ignorant. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
I just scrolled back through forty five pages of this thread, and goddamn if I couldn't find even one post of Silver Bullet's that explained in any detail what he thinks is the end game for Russia. Truth is, nobody knows except for president Putin. He alone has a plan once he thinks his objectives have been achieved. Mr. Bullet, you seem to have extraordinary insight on what "end game" is for Russia that we would all love to hear, yet you remain aloof and want to shut down and argue individual posts instead of providing us the Bigger Picture. So please - give us your back-channelled deep-state knowledge. Or, simply go away. Shoo. Scat. Changing minds isn't your forte. Go back to Facebook and post some misinformation there. |
