It is a common mistake, but for anybody wanting to learn here is additional information: https://airfactsjournal.com/2018/05/...g-vs-crashing/ Also like the American AH-64 it can withstand even a 55km/h ‘crash’, as long as it is oriented normally. |

I didn’t want you to feel negative about yourself, which is why I added that this is a common mistake made by many people, so not you specifically. If it makes you feel any better, in aviation this would have been classified as a “forced emergency landing”. So the pilots in the video did not really have a choice to continue their mission or choose a further landing area, I believe that is what you meant? |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Really? They’re afraid to show support to the occupying force, when their rightful government is a hundred miles or more away? Interesting theory you have there. In occupied Paris, there were a lot of “pro Nazi” Parisians… right up until they were liberated. Then, not so many of them. If Izum was occupied by Orcs, the ones to suspect are lying are not the ones that are mum. The ones to suspect are lying are the ones vocalizing their support for the Orcs. It’s adorable that you would assess that logic exactly backwards, though. What with history having proved it the other way, over and over, and all. |
