They are not in an active war zone, nor are they in a fight or a combat situation. They are at home, doing literally nothing. They government would try and cover up, but there are things your soul will never cover up. So they sit somewhere in some town, and put a round in the chamber. The people they killed or tried to kill. Were they heroes? Hard to wear a cape when you are on your knees in front of an invader begging for your life I guess.

In any way this is what is happening right now. Between waking up, shaving, eating my breakfast and getting ready for work; 1 person will have made the decision not to live past the hour.

These are all facts.

Now, the question is, is this sustainable? This will go on for decades. 50 a day means more than two every hour. As an hour has 60 minutes, each minute having 60 seconds; that means if one were to count to 3600, with super hearing one would have heard two gunshots. That evens out to one every 1800 seconds. It is math. I don’t know if that is sustainable though.

Coping is a mechanism. If a person can try and see right and wrong in a conflict, this person can project this ‘ethic’ onto his own conflict. Not an hour goes by without their struggle. Until they decide enough is enough.

In any way, if that is sustainable, then active conflicts claiming twice the number of lives are also sustainable

Crunch the numbers. For every two dead Russians you see. You know one hero back home could not cope anymore. Their last thoughts are now nothing more than a fly on the wall. Literally (your brain process your thoughts, look it up).

Let’s agree to disagree then.

I know at every opportunity you are very outspoken against the Russian invasion. I thought that was hypocritical, but if you are saying my points about suicides resonated with you then that was not my intention. I just use it because I’d think you are a person to sweep the suicide numbers under the rug; so you would also realise/perceive the official military casualties in this conflict as low.

Again if you feel down, hug your family or watch Top Gun (doesn’t matter which one). And don’t let anything on the internet influence you in a negative way

Or call the number if it really gets too hard. But having a family is like a forever suicide hotline; they will always believe in you, love you and support you if you treat them right!

Anyway, anybody reading this is a strong person. No matter what you went through. If you are reading this then it means you are here. I am happy that everybody is here. The special military operation/ war brought us to this forum. And it divides us, for sure. But we are all here. Friend or foe.

On topic: while I think the official military casualties reported by the government are low, they are propaganda still and could be true.

Let’s say 6000 soldiers died. That is low right?
When the Moskva sunk a few hundred died in one moment. But those are not military, but navy.

1000 fighter jets get destroyed by anti aircraft. Each carrying two people.
Still 6000 soldiers died, as they he 2000 dead pilots are airforce casualties.

Now let’s say 1000 Wagner PMCe are dead. Still 6000 soldiers.

How about the Chechens or Dontetsk people?
They are not in the Russian army so still 6000.

You all get the point I hope. So 6000 is low, and propaganda for sure as people read it as “total casualties on Russian side” but I think it could be sustainable still. Military draft or not.

Ps I hope it is not sustainable if that means for peace to come sooner!
