Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Adding alot untrained conscripts + old soviet equipment into this fray is not really logical. They won't succeed and the risk to cause massive unrest among the population is rather high. If I'd be Mr. Putin I would have pushed for a truce to rebuild my forces for the following 2-3 years. Its pretty much obvious that russia needs a total conversion to 21st century tech. All the tanks and dumb weapons from the soviet era are just no sufficient anymore. Modernized or not...they don't cut it. Another important change is required for the russian officer corps, they need to be trained in a different way....to be more flexible and treat their men more as valuable ressource. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Russia needs a professional non-commissioned officer corps. NCO's. Something they're well aware that does not exist in the Russian military. This is why so many of their officers have died. Also, upgrades to their tech. Which is largely garbage that belongs in the 70's, 80's and 90's. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
I really wish that the constant defending of Russia's actions with stale comments about other unrelated shit was against the rules in this section. So telling. A. "Ukraine bombed Donetsk again killing civilians" B. "They are defending their territory against Russia/separatists trying to take it from them. And where is your concern for when Russia shells a school where almost a entire village of 90 civilians is taking shelter?" A."The number of US vets offing themselves daily is much higher than being reported" B-Z. 4 or 5 cases of the US veteran suicide argument alone. Make. It. Stop.

Also, criticizing sources (western) and continually citing western sources yourself for these unrelated arguments = hypocritical. If you don't approve of them, why use them. Apparently, it's all propaganda unless it supports your argument.
