Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Again, two things that aren't directly related to Russia/Ukraine. It's not that I don't want to talk about any of this stuff... it's just not hard factual information regarding what's going on in Ukraine. Things were/are far more complicated in Afghanistan than just "people without access to clean drinking water" in so many ways I couldn't even begin to list them all. Just as the situation is in Ukraine. It is also very easy to make judgements and form opinions when you are not the one in the trenches. Have you ever been to Afghanistan? At any point were you sent over to a combat zone on the whim of your government being told one thing, but it actually being quite something else? Despite that having to always follow orders. Period. It's earth shattering shit. The very foundation of everything you were taught to believe, rocked and once that happens, there's no going back. This on top of the daily ritual of being in constant fear of your life. On top of the knowledge of having taken lives. Losing your brothers and friends. Constant uncertainty. All of this can have a devastating impact on someone for the rest of their life. Then coming home and having to pretend like everything is ok because you don't dare discuss anything that changed the world as you know it with people in your life for so many reasons, mainly to protect them but also because it's hard enough for YOU to wrap your head around it. This shit isn't something that just goes away. It doesn't wear off like a virus or medication. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Persian Gulf, Chechnya, Ukraine, Georgia, Yemen, Palestine, Israel, Azerbaijan, to Ethiopia. Wherever. I really could keep going on all day long about it but what it boils down to is anyone who has never done something, experienced something, lived through something really should tread carefully when making judgements or forming opinions. First, because those who have will dismiss you straight away and second, you will never learn important lessons if you keep thinking you already have all the answers.

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Insurgency Sandstorm is only $15 on PC if anyone wants to come work out our differences there. I need an observer that understands binoculars allow one to see from far away and that the commander can't call in if they keep playing like it's COD.
