Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
They'e been pounding away the entire time and while it's produced casualties on the Ukrainian side, it's not enough. Ukraine is more modernly trained, they use smaller more mobile units and they employ drones far, far better. They're being resupplied with western systems and ordinance whereas the Russians are only depending on themselves - it's estimated they've burned through 70% of their precision munitions. The borders are clogged with their damaged, unservicable vehicles which have been sitting there for a long time, indicating they don't have the huge amount of parts needed for repairs and maintenance. This is not looking good for them. I could go on but I do not wish to post huge walls of text. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
I have a new idea about what this war... sry, Special Denazification Operation Militation* is about. Maybe what is a ceiling for us is a floor for the outstanding russian strategists - and they want to reduce their expenditures on the army without sending all those generals for expensive pensions and decided to get rid of them in battle, and at the same time maybe get something else out of it ? Two birds with one stone ! What do you think xd ?

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Statements of NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference: - “NATO allies have also stepped up their support to Ukraine and up to date NATO allies have pledged and provided at least 8 billion US dollars in military support to Ukraine. And we see the importance of further stepping up our support to Ukraine”; - “NATO is ready to maintain its support for Ukraine in the war against Russia for years, including help for Kyiv to shift from Soviet-era weapons to modern Western arms and systems”; - “The West would continue to put maximum pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the invasion of Ukraine, which Moscow calls a "special military operation", through sanctions and economic as well as military aid to Kyiv”; - "Finland and Sweden will be warmly welcomed [to NATO], and I expect that process to go quickly”. Mounting pressure. |
