Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
I think the problem is with you thinking anybody that does not follow your governments narrative is crazy. I am vaccinated (not boosted as I had covid), but you want to say that you believe at least 2 masks should be worn over each other in order to stay protected? That is what Biden is saying btw |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
I don't really care about what the government says (at least that's what my police records say), but I do follow Science. And I believe that science has shown that masks do help against spreading infectious diseases. Neither does it bother me much to wear a mask. A bit more annoying than putting on a seatbelt when going for a drive I'd say. Thankfully, here we are done with Covid for now. The department that ordered the last lockdown after Omicron came, has even admitted that it was a mistake on their side ordering it. With <600 deaths per 1M inhabitants I'll forgive them for a blunder or two though. I do however find it funny that you seem to be believing the Russian government and more trustworthy than their western counterparts. It is not the west that has shut down all non-government-owned media outlets, has a dictator as a president, etc. |

"Believing the western government"? What does that even mean..? You are a broken record. Roosevelt used a wheelchair when he kicked Hitlers ass. And Biden will kick today equivalent, Mr Putlers ass. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
From The Institute for the Study of War, a well respected non-partisan, non-profit, public policy research organization staffed by many senior US military officers. RUSSIAN OFFENSIVE CAMPAIGN ASSESSMENT, APRIL 25 Full report: https://www.understandingwar.org/bac...sment-april-25 Key Takeaways -Russian forces resumed ground attacks against Mariupol’s Azovstal Steel Plant in the last 24 hours. Russian officers may assess they will be unable to starve out the remaining defenders by May 9 (a possible self-imposed deadline to complete the capture of Mariupol). Russian forces will likely take high casualties if they resume major ground assaults to clear the facility. -Russian forces are accelerating efforts to secure occupied Mariupol but will likely face widespread Ukrainian resistance. -Continued Russian attacks in eastern Ukraine took little to no additional territory in the past 24 hours. -Prudent tactical Ukrainian counterattacks around Izyum are likely impeding Russian efforts to complete even tactical encirclements of Ukrainian forces. -Russian forces are preparing for renewed attacks to capture the entirety of Kherson Oblast in southern Ukraine after minor losses in the past 48 hours. -Russian forces likely conducted a false flag attack in Transnistria (Russia’s illegally occupied territory in Moldova) to amplify Russian claims of anti-Russian sentiment in Moldova, but Transnistrian forces remain unlikely to enter the war in Ukraine. Map of key developments since invasion start: |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Everything indicates that Dvornikov is more experienced than his predecessors. He realizes that he has under his command an army consisting of illiterates, cow milkers and pig herders, and he stopped trying to force through sophisticated actions coordinated in time. The Ukrainian positions will be pounded kilometer after kilometer by the kilotons fired by the unguided deep-USSR artillery, after which the infantry in BTRs will drive into empty territory from which the Ukrainians were forced back by artillery. Simple, effective, cheap (if you have an infinite amount of barrels to replace and artillery ammunition from the USSR).
