The whole "3 days" thing came from Russians. They were amping up enthusiasm to take Kyiv. It was all over their Telegrams but understandably that stopped real fast super early in the war

Then that propagandist Russian woman on Solovyov's tv show started saying the reason why Russia didn't outright take Kyiv was because they were being careful and that if they wanted to they could have taken Kyiv right away or some garbage like that.
