Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
As for the rate, it is sustainable. Aside from bombing Kiev and forcing the no-nato documents signed, most of Russians goals have been achieved as per jonomi twitter. This will not be 10 year war. Maybe if they switch to drones only

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Well I can tell you I spent the early years of the 1800s trying to improve russian society and weapon technology, prepared for Napoleon. But fucking Turks wanted to fight, again, and I forgot the industrialization tech. So next thing you know Prussia and Austria are pretty much gone and although I've got a pretty good field army and am good with the 6 pounders. Napoleon had like 10 times the men and those fucking 12 pounders out range us. I still might be able to retreat to moscow and hope winter takes care of them. I needed to get howitzers sooner dammit. I like nothing but Jaegers, howies and grenadiers to protect them

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Knowing you would cite an extreme low-ball for Russian casualties, I purposefully gave you the lowest estimate which isn't far from 15,500. Even if the war lasts a quarter of a decade this is not sustainable. No way, no how, no matter how much you say it is. Russia is not immune to things that have been the downfall of countless armies over human history, get your head out of your ass. Even if it's as low as 15,000, guess what? If this war lasts 2 years, if the rate continues, that's 60,000 dead on a single side. After 2 years of warfare in modern times. Slow clap, Russia. Well done. Plus the west is giving even more aid. And since warfare largely follows the 3:1 rule for wounded to dead, 60,000 dead and 180,000 wounded. And the 60k figure after 2 years at the same rate is the LOWEST figure. If the casualty # is 25,000 currently, that's 100,000 dead after 2 years, 300,000 wounded. None of these scenarios is in any way shape or form sustainable and you're insane for thinking so. This isn't WW2 where you have a few million conscripts to throw to the fire. I'll continue to smash you and your foolishness, Faust. Quit pulling things out of your ass just to counter me. I'm going to call you on it |
