I am not in contact with the general Ukrainian populace, so I don't know. Perhaps they are easily brainwashed Slavs like their Russian cousins, that would explain them fighting back so hard and for a stupid cause as you say.

Can someone explain why Putin is transferring thousands and thousands of Ukrainians to Russia from liberated areas and leaving pro-russian civilians there to live in the rubble? I keep watching Russian propoganda channels and again and again, war journalists keep saying, everything here is liberated, civilians evacuated, but when Ukrainians are bombarding those areas civilians keep dying. Now tell me who is using civilians as shields?

Btw they are evacuating all civilians. Ukraine might be going scorched earth. Attacks with western weapons on Russian soil might be met with nuclear response, so it is assumed that Ukraine will want to destroy everything in east and south Ukraine.
